"Beautiful area. Cottage was very clean but upon arrival the cottage was extremely cold and took hours to warm up with the electric baseboard heating. There were no blind/curtains in one bedroom so it was very bright, early in the morning. We would return again but probably during a warmer time of year."

"Celebrated my birthday in this chalet and I couldn’t ask for a better place! There is (more than) enough space for me and my friends. Staying by the lake was very relaxing, we spent a lot of time in the hot tub just chilling. I appreciate that the kitchen is complete with things that we needed for our dinner. Everything is magnificent. Definitely recommend this place!"

"The house is beautiful, very clean and well provisioned. We very much enjoyed our stay. The only downside was that there are about 40 stairs from the parking area to the front door, which was a bit tricky for my bad back and my daughter’s sore hip. So you should be in decent physical health for that. Otherwise it was a fabulous getaway, very relaxing."

"The cottage was absolutely comfortable and beautiful, one of a kind! Very clean, well stocked, amazing sheets and blankets (high end hotel feel); we enjoyed our stay here very much. The property is gorgeous and teeming with wildlife. We saw deer, fox, bunnies, and so many different types of birds right from the cottage and during our walks on the trails. We would definitely stay again, and would highly recommend it to others!"

"This house was perfect for my family and I. The layout and decor were so thoughtfully put together. We loved the amount of necessities provided (dishes, cooking supplies, etc). We had a small issue during our stay and the host was quick to respond. We will definitely stay here again if we revisit the area!"

"We had a pleasant stay with our family at this cottage with a group of 10 people. The kitchen is well equipped with blenders, espresso makers, etc. The canoe had holes in it and was dangerous to use but we enjoyed all of the other water activity amenities like kayaks and paddle boards. The lake is clean, small, and very quiet. The view is fantastic from the window/dock. We hosted a wedding at this cottage; the outside area (like the deck) had lots of leaves and spider webs all over the place so...

"Convenient location 10 minutes from the center of Ottawa. Very clean and cozy house. Comfortable bedrooms. There is everything you need for living. We are very happy with our vacation! Thank you very much!"

"Lovely spacious apartment. The Photos don't do it justice. Its really big and lots of storage. Location is perfect by the Canadian History Museum and a quick walk across the Alexandra bridge takes you in to all the main sites in Ottawa Only slight downside is the air conditioning units are really really loud so you can't have them on at night and its really warm in the bedroom. But this might only be a problem for a short time in the year !"

"The cottage was amazing and the lake was beautiful. Exactly like the listing, the cottage was fully stocked with everything you need, clean and spacious. My only negatives are the digital concierge we were told to refer on a regular basis to for check in, check out, wifi details etc. didn't exist and when I emailed twice about it I received no response - we were not able to access any wifi while we were at the cottage. The only other negative is the mattress in the bunkie, it is more like a...

"This hotel was perfectly located for our Ottawa stay. Good bed, spacious room, kitchen with dishes, laundry and great location. While it was a good location, walkable to all we wanted, it was quite noisy on a busy street with lots of truck traffic. There is also homeless in the area (as in every city) but we felt very safe waking around even in the evening. Would stay in this hotel again. "

"Wonderful experience at Sonder, very comfortable rooms and felt safe and cared for in a new city. No fan in the washroom and no coffee filters provided for the complimentary coffee, but other than that it was a very positive experience."
