It is within a few minutes walking distance to Tropical Point Park with available water access point for kayaks and small boats, 4 miles to local shops, restaurants, supermarkets, and under 5 miles to Matlacha - a small island known for colorful arts and fishing community. This property was completely renovated in early March 2023\. The interior of this property is more beautiful than before; it has been redesigned with a modern looking and with an open floor concept. It has new drywalls, new paint of course, all new doors, new floors, new kitchen cabinets as well as many new appliances. Most furniture is relatively new too. This one floor cottage comfortably sleeps 5, 6 people: the master bedroom has a queen size bed and a full private bathroom, the second bedroom has a full-size bed, and the third bedroom has two twin size beds. There is a shared full bathroom at the hallway. The kitchen is fully equipped with cookware, dinnerware, drinkware, etc. Just grab some groceries at the market and cook a meal or visit the wonderful moms and pops restaurants nearby. There're 2 smart TVs, 2 bikes available in the premises and a beautifully heated swimming pool for your enjoyment; and full washer and dryer for your convenience. The property is ideal for those who prefer quieter neighborhood and for those who love water activities, fishing, walking, biking, visiting fruit farms, or remote-working or even doing nothing. It is also a great getaway for couples or families to vacation together. When we searched the listings our main criteria was a king bed. The next morning our son isplaying and sees bugs all over the floor. Little black bugs everywhere. We informed the host which did nothing about them. There was a hornets nest outside the lanni which we also informed the host about. We ended up going to the store to buy bug spray and bee spray. We found the beds,living room furniture and pool furniture very uncomfortable. We bought cushions for the pool area, new pillows for the beds.There were things missing from the kitchen, most notably, no can opener! We had to buy several things for the kitchen as well as cleaning supplies, extra glasses, additional towels, etc. The kitchen could have been better equipped. Also there is not enough places to sit in the living room. If you have more than 3 people you're out of luck! Also we found the 100 charge to use the gas grill (which we did not use anyway) was a bit excessive. The neighborhood was very quiet, we rarely heard the neighbors. It was just my husband and I in the 3 bedroom home which was nice because there is not enough seating area in the living room to accommodate if 6 people stayed there comfortably. The home itself is lovely but the pool and lanai are the star of the show. The neighborhood is a great place to walk and bike and convenient to everything on the island. It's also very quiet and relaxing. The house has everything you need for an extended stay with a great washer/dryer, AC for sticky nights and smart tvs. One of the great perks was that this rental is dog friendly so we were able to bring our older epileptic dog who loved snoozing in the sun poolside and swimming in the ocean down the street. The hosts were kind and responsive with any questions that we had as well! One thing to note is the gnats are brutal, but bug spray does the trick.
