And starting on April 1,2024 a gas powered golf cart supplied by Beaufort Carts is included with rental. "Surfside Villa" is true oceanfront and just steps from the island's best beach via private beach access. Relax on the patio and enjoy the sights and sounds of the Atlantic Ocean. The ocean view can also be enjoyed from the living room, dining area, kitchen and primary bedroom. Lay in bed and watch the sun rise. Recently and tastefully decorated, the first floor has a full kitchen, dining area, living room with slider to private ocean view patio and a full size washer and dryer. The living room includes a new queen size sleeper sofa. The second floor has 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths. The primary suite has a new king bed and en suite bath. The guest bedroom has a new queen bed and twin bed. A private pool for Captain John Fripp Villa guests is just steps from your patio. If you have purchased the optional amenities cards you have full use of The Beach Club which is adjacent, with an adult pool, Olympic pool, Fripp Ship gift shop, exercise room and food court. Have a cocktail at The Sandbar where live music is often played.On the weekends the music is played until 11pm. Amenities cards also give you access to additional pools, golf, tennis, on island dining, marina, excursions and more! Included for your indoor enjoyment are a DVD player, family games, tv's in living room and bedrooms and for outdoor fun there is a corn hole game, bocce set, paddle ball game and 4 beach chairs. Like to sip coffee while enjoying the sunrise? Keurig, drip, French press and an espresso pot are available for all your caffeine needs. A Weber charcoal grill is available too. Please note Club cards are required to enjoy any of the Fripp Island Resort amenities and they are available for purchase with this property. If you opt to purchase cards, a new 12.8% resort fee based on the rental amount before taxes, cleaning and other fees will be charged in addition to the cost of the individual Club cards. This property does include a 4 seat gas golf cart. Property also provides free WiFi access. Must be 25 years or older to rent this villa, and must be present at the property for the entire stay. MOLD !! -Im never one to leave a negative review but this trip wasn’t our best. I booked this for the ocean front. Upon arrival we couldn’t locate our golfcart and it wasn’t in the designated spot. I texted the property manager asking where it could be and she replied “in your parking spot” as if I had not looked there. Eventually they came and located the cart as it was not moved into our space. A few days past and my husband was feeling incredibly sick when we were in the condo. He took different allergy and Tylenol but nothing helped. He has a mold allergy and we quickly realized all vents were covered with black spotted mold inside and outside of the vents. He had body aches and was covered in hives on his face and back. He couldn’t sleep at night from joint pain caused by the mold. We left the property so that they could clean them. The manager never told us when we could go back to the property or followed up with us the following days. (The cleaning did help) we had to sleep with the window open for clean air. Coffee pot was broken or wouldn’t operate without the grinder cover that was not on the machine so I went to grab the extra coffee maker in the closet and there was a dirty filter left in it with mold everywhere and in the pot. I’m only leaving this review in hopes that they take action and to warn anyone with a mold allergy not to book this property. Overall not our best stay at John Fripp and unfortunately will not be booking again. ##### Gwyneth K. The condo is nicely decorated, comfortable and clean. The back patio area is great; it is small but it worked well for 4 adults. It has a lovely view of the marsh and to be able to hear the ocean just beyond (plus catch a glimpse of the waves) was very relaxing. The Capt John Fripp Villas is very conveniently located on the island and there is much to explore, even if you do not get the amenity cards. This condo offers beach chairs and bikes for extra convenience! My only “warning” would be that the beach bar next door is real close to the back patio and the music plays all day- but you can’t hear it from inside.
