This well-appointed, 2200 sq ft home, has 4 sleeping areas, 2.5 baths, and plenty of spaces for guests to spread out and enjoy. Great for small children. We recommend water shoes due to snail shells. House Rules Important things to note: \================ ⁃Maximum overnight guests allowed is 8. ⁃Maximum daytime guest limit is 16. ⁃Minimum age to book is 25\. If you do book, your reservation might be cancelled without a refund if age requirement not met. ⁃A call from the neighbors to the city will bring the police to your door. ⁃If you violate the rules and regulations, you may be evicted without refunds. ⁃Avoid glassware by the hot tub area. Non fragile utensils are provided. ⁃No diving off dock (2 ft deep off dock). ⁃Swim at your own risk. ⁃Remember to switch the gas on for the BBQ for use and switch off after. ⁃Quiet hours are from 10pm-8am. We kindly ask that during this time you refrain from music outside and loud conversations. Our neighbors play a crucial role keeping our area a place to visit, and we request that you refrain from activities that would be disturbing for them. ⁃Guests MUST vacate by 11am of the last day of their stay without that expressed prior written approval from the host to extend the stay. Overstay will be charged the full day and second $150 cleaning fee; as the housekeeper has to reschedule to prepare for the next guest. ⁃No refunds are given if you are unable to use the lake or hot tub due to weather. ⁃Spa temperature should not exceed 101 degrees at any time. ⁃Some starter firewood is provided, but please bring more to keep the fire going! ⁃An initial supply of paper towels, trash bags and toilet paper are provided. WILL I NEED TO MEET THE PROPERTY MANAGER TO GET A KEY? “Caribou Cove” has keyless locks. This keyless system allows entry into the vacation rental through the issue of a “code” rather than a physical key. The code changes for every reservation so it is an incredibly safe alternative. By issuing the code prior to arrival, the check-in process is much easier. HOW IS THE WIFI? The satellite wifi is great! Speeds can vary based on weather and number of users on the system. YOU HAVE CABLE OR STREAMING CHANNELS AVAILBLE? Each TV is a Smart TV and each guest can log into their own streaming channel. Cable or local TV not provided without logging into your personal streaming account. CAN I SHIP A PACKAGE TO MY VACATION HOME? We do not recommend shipping directly to the home, we do not have mailbox keys, and there are many different people with access to the home: vendors, housekeeping, staff, etc. so we cannot be responsible for packages once delivered. CAN I BRING MY PET? Our house is dog friendly. We allow up to two dogs for a fee of $100\. Undisclosed pets will incur a $500 charge and possible eviction without refunds. DO YOUR HOMES HAVE OUTDOOR MUSIC SYSTEMS? No. We recommend bringing a Bluetooth speaker since you can arrange them where you like and they are easy to connect to! Both a Keurig and drip coffee maker, as well as a spice rack, salt, and pepper. There are bath towels, pool towels, and bed linens. We also provide an initial supply of trash liners, toilet paper, hand soap, and dishwasher soap. Bathrooms are stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and liquid body wash. Laundry facilities are also equipped with laundry detergent. WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM GUEST NUMBERS ALLOWED? You can bring in 10 overnight guests total. We were somewhat snowed in most of the time, and could not have picked a better place for forced relaxation--loved the hot tub, amenities, and view! The sauna and hot tub experience in the snow was a blast. Lots of games and toys for the little kids. Kitchen was well stocked and the house was very clean, nicely decorated with thoughtful amenities in the bathrooms and bedrooms. Short drive to Spirit Mountain and downtown Duluth. Highly recommend! Enjoyed the paddle boards and kayaks, fire pit, and game selection. It was perfect for our family gathering. The kitchen was well-equipped with what we needed to make some simple dinners together. It has a kayaks, paddle boards, fabulous sauna, hot tub, multiple indoor and outdoor seating, tons of outdoor activities, a game room filled with tons of fun games. They loved the huge yard to play all week long, fire pit with plenty of wood, and the hot tub. Close to Duluth to visit canal park and not too long up drive up the north shore. We wish it was longer and are talking about booking again with our hunnys. A beautiful property, quiet and private. We loved the wild life around us. Even though it was late October and we couldn’t enjoy the lake, it was still awesome. Our extended family has been coming to Duluth for 20+ years for MEA. We always stayed in Canal Park, but now that the kids are out of school, we thought it was time to switch it up. Went a different weekend, and stayed away from the crowds. We made the perfect choice with this place. Coming back after a long day of sightseeing and shopping with a hot tub waiting for us was the best! The lake is calm and quiet during the week. We loved the fire pit, patio, decks. The place is well considered, with many hang out spots. The host was very responsive and helpful. Our whole family could gather on the patio or to watch a movie. We loved having more than 1 TV for sports fans in the basement. The place is in great shape, fresh, bright. The hosts left us snacks and a cute souvenir bag. The location was very convenient to visit the sites in Duluth. I would say this place was pretty perfect, but 2 things worth mentioning. We were hoping to rent a pontoon from an off site rental place, but the dock is pretty small and the hosts had their pontoon parked there. The host did offer that we could park on the other side of the dock, but there was a pipe sticking out awkwardly and we felt uncomfortable grounding it on the beach. The other thing to mention is that we were counting on the pull out couch in the basement for our 9th family member. The couch and pull out were quite uncomfortable, so this person ended up sleeping on the floor instead. Worked out fine for us, but not great for a light sleeper. The sauna and hot tub were perfect remedies to running Grandma's Marathon and the fire pit near the lake was truly relaxing. It was great to be able to bring our dogs a long.
