I did a lot of research trying to find a safe place to stay for the weekend while attending some family events. Me being the overprotective dad wanted to make sure the wife and kids were somewhere they could spread out a bit and not have to worry about the area outside. I finally landed on this spot with Noah, and it worked out perfectly. Noah was very responsive to any questions I had, such a great host. Check-in/check-out process is about as flawless as you can get. There is gated parking included, I would mention it's a tight squeeze if you have a larger SUV and someone is using the spot next to it - but no problem for our Highlander. Any bigger you may want to unload before parking. The apartment itself is the bottom unit of a two level house. I haven't traveled to Sacramento much but I'd rate the neighborhood as quiet/safe. There are some rough areas half a dozen blocks in a few directions so be mindful of that with the kids. But generally I felt fine walking around with them. Another note, according to the maps the nearest grocery is off 12th, but it's more of a convenience store and a bit sketchy around it. I'd suggest loading up on any food you need from a bigger box store farther out. I'd highly recommend the space, it was 4-5 minutes from almost everything we needed to do in town, very convenient location. Fairly easy walk to Old Sacramento, DOCO, other shopping, restaurants, train station, etc. We took the train into and out of town and chose to Uber the short distance so as not to walk with suitcases. But it wasn't a long walk and could have been done without Ubering, especially in the light of day. Without suitcases, we just walked around. The rental itself was comfortable and pleasant. Located right next to a park and an easy walk to downtown, the capitol (including the gorgeous gardens) and over the bridge (we caught an A’s game at the baseball stadium).
