Happy & Enjoyable Stay
Lovely, clean, and friendly hotel. Really enjoyed stay there. Only negatives - no chest of drawers in room - would be helpful, even a small one. Also, be aware that the car park is small - obviously built years ago when cars were smaller!

The hotel is in an ideal place for town with free parking on the grounds, polite and helpful staff, clean room and hotel. good breakfast choice. When I was there in June 13th -16th it was hot sunshine days and the fan in the room was a god send, but the bathroom did not have an extraction fan so it got like a sauna in there. but that kind of sunshine is not the norm in the UK, overall the hotel was good and I would not hesitate to book a stay there again, well worth a visit

Generous single room size, with comfy bed and nice decor. Bathroom dated but functional and with modern rain shower. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good range of continental and cooked options at breakfast. Evening meals in restaurant were lovely, good atmosphere, nice food.

two days in Oakham
Very restful stay visited two local villages Uppingham and Stamford. Uppingham had a few interesting antique shops with good quality items whilst Stamford had many independent shops.

This is a lovely hotel friendly staff and very clean. The room was excellent with on suite bath shower. We arrived late 8.20 and ask if we could still reserve a table in the restaurant this was not an issue. We had a lovely meal and absolutely brilliant service. We were ask to book a time slot for breakfast as it can get a little crowded. This was partly to do with protecting the guests. The breakfast was very good you have a reasonable choice. Cereals , fruit juice, fruit and a cooked choices The friendly staff and excellent service goes all the way through the hotel. The car park is at the rear of the hotel has limited parking. However there is a pay and display car park next door. We will definitely be booking this hotel again.

We had such an amazing time. The hotel was clean and staff was amazing especially Greg and Hayley. They were accommodating and super nice. Breakfast was included each morning and the dinner which was not was out of this world.

Unable to lock door till Day Two - unacceptable...
We stay in many hotels for work and this is the first one where we were unable to lock our door, which created a great a sleepless night and a great deal of anxiety. The lock barrel was replaced during the second day of our stay. We justifiably felt uneasy sleeping in an unlocked room and leaving our luggage unprotected during the day. We were unable to change rooms as the hotel was full. Apart from that the room was adequate and we enjoyed our breakfasts.

A gem of a hotel - so glad I found it
The customer service of every department of the hotel team that I met was exceptional - polite, very friendly, efficient. The hotel was really well cared for as a property. Add to that the wonderful customer service and it was a very special place. It was quiet at night, really comfortable bed and pillows, lots of hot water for baths or showers. If I was in Oakham again, I would choose to stay here!
