Whether you are an adventure seeker or just looking to cozy up and enjoy a relaxing and secluded get away, this hidden gem is the spot. Four of Arkansas’ fabulous state parks are less than an hour away and each offers family friendly to extreme outdoor experiences. Enjoy the state’s newest mountain bike trails at Mt. Nebo or rock climbing at Mt. Magazine. Hike down to Cedar Falls Waterfall at Petit Jean State Park or catch some fish on Lake Dardanelle and Nimrod. Looking for more low-key adventures, watch the hang gliders soar over the Arkansas River Valley or enjoy a picnic at sunset from any number of breathtaking vistas. Just off of state highway 10, Cedar Bluff Cabin feels miles away from anywhere and everyone. This charming A-frame cabin has three levels with stunning views from decks located on two of those. The main floor features an open concept well stocked kitchen, dining and living area with a wood burning fireplace. The cabin’s full bathroom is also located on this level. The main level deck has a gas grill and plenty of room for relaxing. Back inside and up the spiral staircase guests will find a double twin bedroom and the master king bedroom. The master bedroom deck has the best view for sunrises, sunsets and stargazing. To reach the private third bedroom just follow the staircase outside the front door down to a covered landing. The Host was extremely attentive to our needs and very accommodating! The view off the back balconies was amazing. Very quiet area. Location was conveniently close to the areas we came to visit. The place is large enough for a big family to stay but we booked it for our wedding anniversary trip for just the two of us. Our family of 5 (2 adults, 3 young kids) stayed for 5 days. It was very charming and cozy! We spent our vacation days out on state parks and got to spend our evenings relaxing on the balcony, by the fire outside, or watching family movies. Our kids would get fussy now and then, but we found some blocks, children's books, and even colors to keep them occupied while we adults prepared meals! The mornings were lovely on the balcony. The sunrise and sunset were beautiful out there! The cabin had all the pots and pans we needed. Restrooms were clean and in good working order, extra towels provided. No safety gates around the staircase, but we blocked it easily with the bean bag. Just one tip: bring filtered water! No water filter. The house was cute and had some fun items like dvds and games. We do wish the house had been in a bit better condition and better set up as a rental. It was not well cleaned and was missing some basics like conditioner and soap in the shower. The kitchen is kind of a hodge podge of items and could use some clean up and organization. If you’re planning to cook all your meals it may be a challenge. Also if you plan to use the grill know that it’s rusted and very dirty. Lastly, the house was unbelievably infested with lady bugs. We’ve never seen anything like it. There were hundreds of them. We did enjoy our stay but just some things to be aware of. ##### Chloe B. The location was convenient to all the things we planned to do on Lake Dardanelle and in Petit Jean State Park, and yet far enough away and secluded enough that it seemed like we were miles away. The view from any area outdoors is beautiful. We used the gas grill on the lower deck to cook steaks one night. The kitchen was adequately stocked with utensils we needed. The spiral staircase to the bedrooms was too much for my older family members, so they slept in the downstairs apartment that is accessed by outside steps lighted by solar lights. It was a bit of a challenge to keep my four-year-old granddaughter off the stairs and the outside decks. Wi-fi was good! We didn't walk down to the creek because it was a steeper incline than we figured we could manage. Petit Jean state park is just a short drive from the property. We want to come back again when it's just me and my husband for our next year anniversary, or maybe bring the babysitter with us for our granddaughter! ##### Lisa M. My family stayed here for a week for our summer vacation before school started again! We loved it! I have 2 small children (4 and 3) and they really enjoyed staying here as well! I would recommend if you have small children to bring a baby gate just for safety with the stairs. I did communicate with the owner before coming and she did let me know that there was not one there at the moment(we brought one with us). I really appreciate how quick and kind the owners are! ##### Krystal D. We had a great stay with 3 kids, primarily spending the days over at Petit Jean State Park. The cabin was very nicely appointed, with a great view and the sound of a creek out the back decks. One note, beds are upstairs so if you have a little one, make plans for safety on the staircase. We really enjoyed this spot and would stay here again. ##### Don J. Fully furnished and tucked away with everything you need for some good ole R&R! The property manager was very attentive and made sure we had what we needed.
