There is a grocery within a short drive along with a few eateries. Nothing within walking distance, but that is part of the charm of this place. We wanted to stay somewhere central to Hobbiton, Waikato caves and manu bay, but my kids were thrilled just to be at the house with the farm and the cozy, old-fashioned decor and animals and property outside. The home had great beds and kitchen. We loved learning a bit about the history of the home. The hosts were super friendly (next door) and accommodating. We loved visiting the blueberry farms nearby.
