The Nutt House is a three levels home with two proper bedrooms and three bathrooms, one on each level. There is a queen size futon in the living room. The bedrooms are nicely separated for privacy. One is on the third floor and the other is on the first floor (primary bedroom with sitting room and fireplace), with the main living area on the second floor. The house is nestled in the pines of a quiet neighborhood amongst the Sacramento Mountains and is very close to all that Ruidoso has to offer. Often at dawn and dusk, deer can be seen wandering through the yard. There is a spacious deck off the main level which has a view of the Gavilan Ridge. There is a nice outdoor area with a charcoal grill for your use. There are three flat screen TVs in the home, one in each bedroom, and a 55 inch smart TV in the living room with Roku for your streaming needs. There is ample seating in the dining room for six and then seating for four in the booth in the kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your cooking needs (crockpot, instapot, blender, mixer, etc) and has been updated with hickory cabinets, solid surface countertops and stainless steel appliances. A full-size washer and dryer are available along with some board games and books for a take and leave library. .For the summer, the house has split air conditioners along with fans and the Ruidoso breeze to keep you cool. In the winter months, central heat and a fireplace are available to keep warm and a mud room with outside entrance is available for excellent space to store your ski and cold weather gear. During the Christmas season, the house will be decorated with a tree and a few decorations for your enjoyment. This is not for the family who’s wanting latest greatest anamenities & updates.I appreciated all the old elements of this house. Pictures, antiques, lighting, lots of old school charms. They had games for the kids and the cutest kitchen nook to eat breakfast, coffee, or play Uno. The kitchen had everything we needed. The balcony deck was nice for spotting deer and looking at the stars. Lots of stairs with challenging steps for those who may have limited mobility? Not a problem for us thought. We did have a hot water issue that we noticed pretty early in our trip. We contacted the owner who put us in touch with the property manager immediately. They did everything they could considering it was a holiday weekend. We did eventually get the water pressure fixed and all was well. This might have ruined others trip, but we knew they were doing everything they could in the moment to fix it. It has all the comforts of home plus a lot of bonuses. The biggest bonus to me is a deck out the back that overlooks the golf course.
