The cabin we rented was unavailable, and we were given a different one without any prior information about its appearance or amenities. This new cabin turned out to be just a studio, smaller than the cabin originally booked, smaller than a hotel room, and double the price. Additionally, we only found out upon arrival that there was no water due to the floods. While I understand this was beyond the host's control, a simple heads-up would have made a significant difference. After driving for three hours, we were left with an unacceptable option for a refund. Fortunately, my husband took the initiative to ask for assistance, and the host kindly allowed us to stay in the larger main house. Although our stay was manageable, I strongly encourage future guests to clarify the specifics of their cabin before arrival. The property itself was beautiful and well-maintained, but the lack of communication about the situation and the limited options provided were disappointing.
