Another thrilling experience waits for you at the Perfect Storm, brave yourself and race another buddy on the twin racers Typhoon and Cyclone, this is the type of moment you’ll never get to forget. Finish your morning adventure with the Flowrider – a Surf Simulator that will challenge you to carve like a pro or stay upright.

For the first time you and your family won’t need to fight over what to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner. At Freedom, there is so much variety that you will find something that is appealing to each of you without much discussion.

Windjammer is the perfect place to start your day, the international buffet is available for all your meals, including afternoon and late-night snacks. Consider the main dining room for at least one dinner during your cruise, this is a beautiful three-level restaurant that will bring to your table dishes from around the world.

Why don’t you start your day at Café Promenade? Here you can enjoy one of the specialty coffees for an extra charge and sample all the complimentary goodies. In the same area, you’ll find many more options: R Bar, Bull & Bear Pub and Vintages wine bar. As usual, the pool bar comes in handy when you want to spend your days around the pool deck. At night you can finish your night at Bolero’s, where lively Latin rhythms will make you not want to leave the dance floor. You can also party at the Star Lounge or the Viking Crown Lounge, it will all depend on your taste of music.

Crowds flock to two shows each night in the three-level Arcadia Theatre, styled with Art Deco sconces, mohair seats, and a real orchestra pit. There’s no lack of activities and entertainment on Freedom of the Seas. From the sky-high Viking Crown Lounge on Deck 15 to the sunken ice rink on Deck 3, passengers can find everything from musical revues to quiet libraries to recent-movie screenings.

You can find the fitness center in Deck 11, equipped with treadmills, stationary bikes, weights, and other equipment. You’ll have no excuses to miss your daily workouts. You can also take advantage of the jogging track in deck 12, you don’t get to jog overlooking the open sea every day.

For those in the mood for pampering — and who isn’t? — Vitality Spa offers treatments such as massage, acupuncture, teeth whitening, and facials. Special offers in the daily newsletter and on port days are offered for the budget-minded.

With a special kid-friendly deck and pool area, this ship unquestionably caters to families with children, especially during the summer months. Explorer’s children’s territory includes the Adventure Ocean play and crafts area for the younger set; Adventure Beach outdoor play area with two pools, one with a small water slide; and the Disco just for teens 15-17. Different age group divisions make sure activities are age-appropriate. Limited in-cabin babysitting for children one year and older is available with 24-hour notice, and group babysitting for ages 3–11 is generally available. A talent show, scavenger hunt, and disco night also are scheduled "just for families."
