Round Top is one of those hidden corners of the Catskills that feels like a deep exhale. It's tucked into the mountains just outside the more bustling spots like Hudson and Catskill, but that’s exactly the charm—quiet roads, dense forest, and the kind of stillness you rarely get downstate. It's part of the Hudson Valley region, but feels more elevated (literally and vibe-wise), with easy access to scenic hikes, waterfalls, and little roadside cafés. Don’t expect a lot of shops or nightlife—this is where people come to slow down, grill dinner on the deck, and let the kids run barefoot in the grass.
