Very convenient and hassle-free stay. The check-in process was extremely easy and required no interaction, which made everything very convenient. The room was clean and comfortable. We also had an early departure the next morning and were able to leave before the staff had even arrived, which made the whole experience seamless. Overall, a great option if you’re looking for a clean, convenient, and hassle-free place to stay in Cheboygan.

Spent a couple of nights in St. Ignace. Breakwater was excellent - 2 minutes away from the ferry to Mackinaw Island and a shuttle to get you there for a day trip. Breakfast was great as was the restaurant for dinner. Rooms were spacious, clean with a balcony and great views of the lake and the island. Friendly and helpful staff. Definitely recommend.

We had a beach facing balcony room and the view was lovely. We had to call the front desk to get the WiFi information, but it was good once we were able to log on. The coffee in the lobby is only available from 7-noon and the breakfast is mediocre. On our second day we were not even able to get breakfast as they had a huge tour group in that took up all the tables. The woman who checked us in was chomping on gum the whole time and we really found none of the staff friendly or helpful. Our room was not made up while we were gone all day and they knocked on the door after 6 pm to see if we wanted service. Overall a disappointing stay. Decor is dated, hall carpet is filthy. If I were ever to return, I’d stay elsewhere. Definitely not worth the price.
