The Position on the lake was very beautiful and convenient for shopping ,eating out ( reservations essential everywhere) and swimming. Hotel is very well run with friendly and super helpful and efficient staff who speak good English. The room (maisonette)was really spacious with 2 bathrooms sitting area and balcony. Breakfast very good although just to be niggly we would have liked some breakfast tea and a more local fruit selection . We thought Rottach Egern was a very special part of Germany. It is expensive and quite formal with few foreign tourists. The access to the outdoors for walking swimming and biking and the fantastic food along with this wonderful hotel made it a memorable week and a perfect holiday.

Fantastic !!!
We stayed here for one night to do some skiing and found this hotel on Expedia. The online reviews were mixed but we decided to take our chances. We were extremely pleased from the minute we arrived - this hotel is an absolute gem! Located directly at the lakeshore it has magnificent views and is close to town and restaurants. The room we stayed in (103) was cozy, quiet, impeccably clean, beautifully decorated and spacious with a semi-separate area for the bed. The staff were friendly, professional and welcoming. Also worth mentioning are the impressive breakfast buffet, the convenient underground parking garage and the bright modern sauna amenities which were perfect for apres-ski. Everything about this place is great and we highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Rottach-Egern.

Wunderschöne Lage mit traumhafter Aussicht. Nicht gefallen hat uns, dass es keine Info über den ausgebrannten Spa Bereich gab, da die Sauna ein Auswahlkriterium war.

Nach einem Brand im Wellnessbereich war dieser in der Renovierung. Da das Hotel uns dies nicht mitgeteilt hat, wurde leider nichts aus unserem geplanten Wellnessurlaub :(
