A Special Hotel in Beautiful Alpbach
This is a wonderful hotel near the center of Alpbach. Our room was very clean and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was delicious with fresh and quality selections including eggs cooked to order. On-site parking. There is a well stocked honor bar on the lower level. The free city pass which allows you to take a free the bus to the local ski mountain for a ride to the top is a nice benefit. Lastly, if you stay here you will get a chance to meet one of the treasures of Alpbach, Gitte (Brigitte). She is the property owner with so much energy, enthusiasm and heartfelt friendship for all. She always seemed to be nearby. Just look for her golf cart. This hotel offers great value, please give it a try.

Simply the best! Better than all the rest!
This is the most hospitable stay in our 20 day trip in Austria and Italy. Gitty (Brigitta) is incredibly helpful and engaging. From our greeting at arrival to our departure days later, Gitty was making sure we were taken care of. Also we got free chair passes and bus passes so we could continue hiking the Alps with ease. The food in Alpbach was incredible as was the breakfast bar here.

The place is great, pretty new, good space and awesome town. The host excellent. There is a card to have some amenities without cost around the town, but we didn´t know it, so will be great that the host send email before arrival with the information.

The owner of the house, Gigi was wonderful! Her customer service was beyond 10/10. Very kids friendly. My son enjoyed speaking Deutsch with her, so did she :)

Excellent accommodation and an excellent host. Nothing was too much trouble for Gitti, she made sure that our weeks stay was most enjoyable. We will definitely stay here again

Excellent choice
Hotel is located in center of town. Comes with full buffet breakfast and free gondola tickets. Many nearby hiking trails. Good size room with balcony. Nearby restaurants.

Whole different experience
Gitti is the absolute best! We were exhausted from driving but found the place right away. We had barely parked and Brigitte was already standing behind our car to welcome us. It was like i came to visit my mom. She was sso welcoming and put huge smile on our faces immediately with her funny and happy personality. She personaly escorted us to our rooms which were awesome. Super clean and cute with hearts all over. She invited us to her sunny patio for a beer. Sat down with us for a bit for dinner recommendations and laughs. Anyways long story short. House aamazing, view amazing, people amazing, brakfast amazing! For what, 60 bucks? If you want a Tirolean experience, stay there

Lovely guesthouse in Tirol
This hotel is beautifully decorated in Tyrolean design. Very clean and wonderful breakfast buffet. The manager is so friendly and energetic. Loved our stay here.

Very quaint hotel and the lady who owns it is fabulous! She let us choose our room, made sure we were comfortable, and made us a great breakfast in the morning. A great place to come and relax! We will hopefully be back!!

Since travel from 1985 in Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Italy; and against some truly outstanding lodgings, this was my favorite yet in the Alps. I have never given straight perfect ratings, but this Gaesthaus earned them! The view is incredible, both in the early morning, and sipping Grüener Veltliner on the balcony watching sunset over the Alps to the west. This is a great spot if you are summer glacier skiing in Hintertux to the west. Try their hausgemacht preserves at breakfast. Mmmm!

Beautiful little hotel nestled in the village of Alpbach. Warm, welcoming, and hospitable staff!! We felt as if we were staying with family. Nice, clean hotel with a delicious breakfast!

Cute hotel in a beautiful village
The hotel was small and well cared for. One felt like visiting a Bavarian relative, with personal and charming decor in the public spaces. Simple rooms with no amenities,, but very clean and nice views. Took a while to find a person to check in, but once there, friendly and welcoming. Great breakfast, with home made touches, including eggs to order. We would go back.

Started at the fantastic welcome, our family vacation at this wonderful hotel was one to remember! Owner and all staff are warm and so helpful, appartment is very clean and well equipped for pleasant stay, mornings are opened with wonderful breakfast and above all, kindness and hospitality at this place never ends. This hotel is highly recommended!

Very nice hotel.
We expended three days and the "apartment" was very clean and comfortable. Two rooms and one living with a full kitchen. Brigitte always helped us. We have everything around the hotel. Bus, sky school, sky rental, restaurants, supermarket.

This is excellent value for money. The room is very clean, we may have been lucky to get a balcony with fantastic views & if you're tall the sloping roof may cause an issue (but we're both reasonably tall & it was worth having to duck to get the views from the balcony). Breakfast included & reasonable choice. The owner could not be more helpful providing maps & tips onwhere to go. Overall highly recommended for the price.

Eine gemütliche Unterkunft, in der es an nichts fehlt! Sehr leckeres Frühstück und vor allem unglaublich freundlicher und herzlicher Service. Selbstverständlich war es auch sehr ordentlich und sauber! Der Skibus ist prima zu erreichen! Da braucht’s kein Auto! Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!

Haus Sonnwend er et hyggeligt pensionat med god stemning, hjælpsom service og omsorgsfuld interesse for gæsterne. Kommer gerne tilbage :) Super morgenmad og æg efter ønske. Ekstra plus med et køkkenhjørne på værelset. Perfekt. Alpbach er en hyggelig bjerglandsby. Eneste minus er at man skal med skibus til skiløbet. Haus Sonnwend var fint til vores “klima”skitur uden bil og fly men med tog helt til dalen og ok busser helt frem til hushjørnet 🚂🚂

O melhor de nossa viajem
Hotel muito aconchegante em uma região linda da Áustria. A proprietária extremamente atenciosa e cortês nos fez sentir em casa. Recomendo esse hotel para que visitar esta região dos alpes austríacos.

Pousada ótima em uma pequena cidade e região espetaculares. Apartamento amplo, confortável, com varanda, excelentes cama, banheiro e limpeza, atendimento primoroso da Brigitte - a proprietária e um café da manhã muito gostoso e farto. O único aspecto negativo foi a falta de elevador, pois ficamos no terceiro piso e subir e descer a bagagem é um inconveniente, mas nada que tire brilho da estadia que foi muito prazerosa. Voltaríamos com certeza...
