The house is comfortable with a great garden and lawn - beds are comfortable and the environs are quiet. House as such is 40 odd years old and the "styling" reflects this. The location is convenient to all tourist spots. The yard is beautiful and the lake is just at the edge of your yard. We loved the charm of the house, it's like stepping into another decade. The beds were comfortable and there was so much space to spread out. One night we lit a fire and the hot tub was also a nice touch at the end of a long day. If we have any critique it would be that there isn't a dryer for your laundry so you need to plan for a sunny day to let your clothes dry. Also the couches are pretty worn out and not very comfortable. We stayed at some very nice homes during our two weeks in NZ and this house was our favorite. Quiet and with a very comfortable bed in the Master. Best sheets of our holiday of 6 locations! We really appreciated being able to bring our dog too.
