Ground Floor: Living/dining room: Freeview Smart TV Kitchen: Electric Cooker, Microwave, Fridge, Washing Machine First Floor: Bedroom: Super Kingsize (6ft) Bed Bathroom: Bath With Shower Attachment, Toilet. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot and highchair. Welcome pack. Grounds with various sitting-out areas and garden furniture (shared with other properties on-site). Private parking for 1 car. No smoking. Please note: There is a lake in the grounds. . The Game Larders is a 16th century half-timbered cottage, perfect for that romantic break away in the countryside to de-stress and enjoy the peace and quiet. Part of the larger Wythall manor house and estate, set in idyllic grounds with woodland, freshwater lake, and vineyards, there is an abundance of wildlife here from owls to badgers, kites to deer - something for everyone to enjoy. The Game Larders is full of character and charm and has some fabulous beams running through the property with beautiful leaded windows. The large, shared garden has a freshwater lake, providing the tranquil sound of running water, lawned area with garden furniture, great for simply enjoying the sounds of the resident wildlife. There are walks, such as the Wye Valley Walk, to be had from the doorstep; why not stroll through the woodlands and make your way to the award winning vineyards where the owners produce their own wine. The wine is available to purchase along with wine tasting and vineyard tours, please contact the owner directly to book this. Once you have finished exploring the grounds of this wonderful estate, come back to the property and relax in the open plan living space. There are plenty of restaurants and pubs within a short driving distance from the location. Located near to Ross-on-Wye, there are plenty of things to keep you entertained should you wish to venture from this beautiful location. Beyond your lovely abode is a plethora of wonderful places to visit, and within a short drive are Hereford and Gloucester. About an hour’s drive are The Cotswolds, Bristol, Cardiff, and Cheltenham. When visiting Ross-on-Wye, no trip would be complete without a visit to Symonds Yat, a magical spot on the River Wye just 2 miles from The Game Larders. Start at the top of the rock for panoramic views and breath-taking scenery. Stroll down through the woodland to reach the water’s edge to enjoy a yummy pub lunch. If you don’t have your own canoe or kayak, why not hire one and paddle your way down the Wye? The Game Larders can be booked with Old Bakehouse (UK42477) to accommodate 6 guests.
