"Impressive well located historic hotel."
Situated in an old historic building overlooking the Wye valley and Ross on Wye. Creaking floorboards and a warren of corridors and stairs, generous size room, plumbing noisy but serviceable. Some rooms with great views ours was not one however! Staff friendly and helpful, food great, commanding position in town, view from riverside bar outside terrace superb. Reasonably priced option and would stay again.

"Lovely hotel, great management"
We stayed for 2 nights and were very impressed. The building itself is nice, and the rooms are clean and well presented. But what really impressed us was the helpfulness and attitude of the staff. They went out of their way to make us welcome and to make our stay more enjoyable. They made several phone calls to book a canoeing trip for us on the River Wye, and they also made a picnic for us to take. We had glasses of wine brought to our room, and nothing was too much trouble. We ate one evening in the hotel restaurant and the food was delicious and inventive with generous portions. The other evening we went to a local Nepalese restaurant (Yaks n Yetis - which was also very good). The hotel management made the booking for us, even though we were choosing to not eat in their own restaurant. We will definitely be going back!

" Characterful hotel in the centre of Ross on Wye"
A lovely, dog friendly hotel with helpful, welcoming staff. The room was very comfortable with ample tea and coffee making facilities and an excellent shower room. We chose to have an evening meal in the hotel which was very enjoyable and well priced. An ample, well cooked breakfast in the morning was a fine end to our stay. We would wholeheartedly recommend the Kings Head hotel.

"Excellent guest house in great location "
Very enjoyable stay at Linden House over the weekend. Situated in a great location close to the town centre of Ross on Wye, which acted as a great base to explore the surrounding area. The rooms are comfortable and clean, breakfast is fantastic (made to order) and Patrick is a very friendly and attentive host with a lot of local knowledge. All in all a very pleasant stay, would definitely stay at Linden House again.

"Nice place with stunning view of the river"
The room was a shambles in terms of cleanliness but it wasn't the owners fault. He'd been let down by his cleaning staff. Sheets had blood over them obviously not changed and room was full of ladybirds. Very bizarre and he was as shocked as we were. But once the problems were sorted we had a nice stay and breakfast was lovely.

"Lovely B&b full of character"
Only stayed one night as I was travelling on the next day. Made to feel right at home by Tim and his family. The house is convenient for everything Ross on whye has to offer. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants and café in easy walking distance. The house itself is really nice. I had the attic room which was accessed by a set of steep narrow stairs which the less mobile may have difficulty with. The room was huge with exposed beams and sash windows which looked onto the street below. The room had a shower ensuite , Which was very nice and tv and tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast consisted of a wide choice of cereals or a full English ( delicious ) tea and coffee or juice. All in all a great place ran by lovely people, would stay again.

"Quaint B&B in picturesque location"
We stayed here for two nights in June. The room was on the top floor, overlooking the river. The room was clean & comfortable with a four poster bed and ornate shash windows. The shower room was reallyreally small but functional and most important spotless. The decor was old fashioned and the building was in need of a little tlc, but this added to the character. Judy the owner was really friendly and knowledgeable about the local area with good recommendations and her breakfast was great. Great stay!!

"slap bang in the middle of Ross"
right in the middle of Ross, so location is pretty good, close to all pubs and shops. Guesthouse was pretty good, staff was very pleasant and very helpful. the only thing about the guesthouse is that is has no parking. There is a council run parking but it is a little walk away and there is a fee required for parking all day (but is only £1.50 for the whole day) the room we stayed is was fairly clean, but there had been an unpleasant discovery that should have been picked up before we arrived, yuk! Also the floor creaks all over and the room needs redecorating/ updating.
