We loved how it was tucked away in the woods. The decor was reminiscent of a home my mom owned and so we spent our time loving the memories we shared. The home provided all the necessities we needed for our visit. It's also located convenient to so many hiking and waterfall opportunities! The first year was wonderful. This year, we showed up to a house that was not clean at all. There were mouse droppings on everything as well as an abundant amount of mice. The stairs have a lot of loose boards and at one point a vertical support that was glued into place fell and hit one of my children. The owner contacted me after our stay accusing us of destroying her house, having pets in her home (which we did not) and for destroying a quilt (which we did not) when we left we were greeted with a 300 charge to our account for damage that we did not cause. we tried to messag us. ##### kenny o. We are seven ladies who attend the same small group within our church and we came here for a retreat. The house has a warm, cozy feeling. The kitchen had all the things we needed to cook our own meals. The porch was our favorite. The beautiful rocking chairs were perfect for some quiet time on the porch. ##### Pamela H. Great host! Super quiet and relaxing! We loved the rockers on the front porch!!! My only complaint is there is not anywhere to take the trash on Sunday. The facility is closed. We love the out of the way places for outdoor activities. We went hiking in nearby Pisgah Nat'l Forest as well as around the cabin. We had deer right outside the cabin roaming around. This home is a perfect getaway if you are looking to stay in a quiet and secluded place. If you are looking for luxury, granite and the town within reach, this place is not for you. It was perfect for us for a relaxing and cozy vacation. The owner made excellent communication with clear directions and warning about the driveway.
