Great location near many wineries. Close enough for a day trip to waterfalls. It's pet friendly, which was great for our 2 small dogs. The beds are very comfortable. There was plenty of space for the 6 of us to eat a meal or play games around the large dinning room table. The kitchen was well stocked and great for making pizzas and cooking breakfast. The pier and beach fire pit was fun and relaxing on a crisp fall evening. The only challenge at this place is that you have to cross a busy road to get to the beach. The host is upfront about this. It was not a problem for our group of 3 couples and small dogs. But it could be slightly challenging for famlies with small children and high energy pets. Overall this place exceeded my expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how immaculate and well-maintained the property was. The house is spacious, clean, and thoughtfully appointed with everything you could need. The kitchen was fully stocked with plenty of supplies, making it easy to cook and enjoy meals at home. The beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep, and the towels were soft and luxurious—such a nice touch! One of my favorite features was the wine swap shelf. It was such a unique and thoughtful idea! It was a fun way to try a new wine and leave a bottle for the next guests. It really made the stay feel extra special. Although I had initially thought the house was directly on the water, it is actually just across the street. However, this wasn’t an issue at all. We still enjoyed beautiful views and the peaceful atmosphere that comes with being so close to the water. It was a small mix-up on my part, but it certainly didn’t impact our stay. The host was also very attentive and reached out to make sure we arrived safely and that everything was going well, which I really appreciated. The house was very clean and comfortable for 7 adults. We made good use of the extra fans to circulate the air from the portable ac units to try to keep sleeping comfortable during the heatwave. Had the privilege of bringing our two Portuguese water dogs who settled in quickly and enjoyed the home as much as us!!!! Unfortunately the two bathrooms are on the first floor. So second floor guests have to go downstairs if needed during the night. Being an older house the stairs are a bit creaky. So you go slowly as not to wake anyone. So many wineries within a half hour. The sunrises on the lake were amazing! The kitchen was fully equipped and had everything we needed. It was very clean, plenty of towels, easy check-in and out. First time visiting the Finger Lakes region. Made the trip for a family wedding and both the house and the area were delightful.
