It also has a well-equipped kitchen, with a comfortable dining area for your meals, and a spacious bathroom with a shower. Vicolo delle Grotte has an excellent location, right in the heart of Rome: it is located a few meters from Piazza Navona and Campo de’ Fiori, where you can visit the colorful morning market but also from the Pantheon and the Jewish ghetto, with its typical cuisine. With a few minutes of pleasant walk, you can also reach Piazza Venezia and the Colosseum, the Trevi Fountain and Piazza di Spagna, the center of Roman high fashion, which with the famous Spanish steps will take you on the beautiful Pincio Terrace, where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the city. Vollständig ausgestattete Küche vorhanden. Mit 2 Supermärkten gleich um die Ecke. Durch die Innenstadtlage ist es abends recht laut, dies hat mich allerdings nicht gestört. Das Sofabett sollte definitiv ausgetauscht werden, dieses ist sehr durchgelegen, sodass man sich nicht einmal draufsetzen kann. Dies ist vermutlich für Kinder okay, aber für einen Erwachsenen recht unangenehm. Aktuell würde ich dort eher 2 Erwachsene und ein Kind sehen. Im Schlafzimmer ist ein unangenehmer Geruch hinterm Bett, der aus dem Bad zu kommen scheint. Location is excellent. No washer/dryer but there is a laundromat right across the street, a door or two down the road. It is also an 8-minute walk to the Largo Argentina taxi stand, where a lot of buses stop as well, so you can get where you want pretty easily. The Campo di Fiori market place is a minute walk away, where we got a lot of produce, since we did much of our own cooking. The area is very popular, which caused us to lose some sleep on Saturday night, when there were lots of people out partying noisily deep into the night. You canlock it securely when you leave. While you are home, the door is notlockable. The landlord would not fix it during the 5 days I was there and indicated they were not concerned and did not intend to fix it. There is a security door into the apartments, that does require a key. There is also a door from the street into the apartments that anyone can access via a button on the street. The second storm door is open to all of the apartments, so you are sort of secure. I decided to not deal with the hassle of canceling and didn't sleep well as it felt unsafe, so FYI if that is important to you. Other than that, I felt like a "spurged" to stay in a nicer place in town, but it was just ok for me.Shower - it's impossible to keep water inside of it, but they do have a bathmat for all the water that escapes. The towels are ok.WIFI: The Wifi works great so long as you are right next to the router, it won't go through walls (none in bathroom or primary bedroom)BED: so so comfy but VERY Squeeky! You can't move overnight without waking yourself up. ##### Kristina B. We were very comfortable here. Just beware- if anyone is sleeping in the living room, it’s pretty loud at all hours. Not good for children. The bedroom is very quiet but needs a new bed frame. Mornings can be a bit noisy as the market is setting up, but having the market on your doorstep makes it worth it. ##### Philippa O. The alley looks a bit dodgy to start with but it is ok and usually people walking through and it did feel safe.The staff were great when we had a power cut and were quick to respond even though it was 8pm at night. The apartment is dark due to it being down a narrow street, and there is only AC in the main bedroom and kitchen so the kids struggled a bit on the pull out bed - but a fan was provided. Kitchen facilities were excellent. It also had a washing machine which we found really valuable. This was a lovely place to stay and gave us lots of flexibility to explore out. Buses were easy to get to and get round the city. We enjoyed our time in Rome, thank you! ##### Sarah T.
