It is useless to tell you how good it is to be an explorer in a new city and feel at home at the same time. In the heart of ancient Rome, a stone's throw from the Colosseum, close to the Fori Imperiali and Metro "Cavour", in the historic Monti district. 2 bedrooms, bathroom with shower, kitchen, living room and dining area. WI-FI, AC, FANS, MICROW, DISHWASHER, WASHING MACHINE. Ideal for relaxation after a day of invigorating explorations in the art world of this mysterious and fascinating city. This delightful house is on the third floor (no elevator) of a building from the beginning of the 20th century, just 5 minutes from the Colosseum, also known as the Flavio amphitheater and behind the Fori Imperiali, in the heart of ancient Rome. The apartment is 70 square meters, just renovated and consists of a cozy living room with sofa and armchairs and dining area with a table for 6 people, a double bedroom and a bedroom with two single beds, one of which, if necessary, can become a double, a full bathroom with shower and a well-equipped kitchen: four hotplates, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, and access to a small balcony from inside the courtyard with plants of asparagina to water , especially in the warmer months. Both for hot water and for heating there is an autonomous gas system. The apartment has AIR CONDITIONING, FANS, WASHING MACHINE and Wi-Fi. Ideal for a family or a group of friends. We did not use parking for the car as it is extremely difficult to find the spot ( so rent after you finish your Rome visit. 15 min walk to train station to rent a car ( very convenient). Clean place good for family of 4 or 5 it do not expect to much space as this is old Rome. Host was waiting for us at the front door and instantly helps us with checking in and that was great help. Host helped us arrange transportation from airport and it is worth after long flight and when heat of 35c hits you. Over all I would recommend this place any time! When we arrived the cleaning was still happening due to an issue organising cleaners out of the hosts control and no issues she finished up quickly. The apartment was lovely and spacious for Rome and very central for walking to everything. The host provided up with some great food recommendations nearby as well. However, a few nights it was very loud in the front room, so just know that if you are a light sleeper. The kids had 3 beds in the backside, so had very little noise. We traveled to Rome as a family of four, two adults and two teens. We really enjoyed staying at the location. It was perfect for us as a family of four, with the adults in one room and the children sharing the other room. The Monti location is very centrally located in Rome and has lots of vintage shopping and restaurants. There was a nice bar across the street that had one of the best expresso's that I had in Italy, and I had many. The Coliseum is a short distance away, and we really enjoyed taking a walk every night after dinner to see it at nighttime. Communication with the owner was easy and terrific. It is two blocks from the Cavour metro stop so it is easy to get anywhere in Rome, and it is about a 10 minute walk from Termini station, if you want to go anywhere in Italy. You can see the Colosseum down the street from the building, and the forum/Capitoline Museum are a close walk. There are a number of excellent restaurants close by, as well as a grocery store, pharmacy and dry cleaner. The unit is comfortable, with plenty of space and is attractively furnished. If you are older, you should be warned you need to climb four flights of stairs. Costanza was a helpful hostess, she gave us restaurant recommendations and she helped resolve any issues we had with the unit. I would come back here in a future trip to Rome! ##### George H. It suited our family of 4 very well. The Colosseum is literally less than 10 minutes walk away as is the Roman forum. The property was light and airy. The beds were comfy as was the couch. It had a nice feel. Constanza was a lovely and attentive host. She was particularly helpful re directions from the airport. A couple of small things could be improved but this is me being a little picky. There was no oven in the kitchen and it was small so if you were planning to cook it could be challenging. Oct 5, 2023 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Spacious apartment in lively neighborhood The apartment was larger than we had expected and provided comfortable space for the two of us. With high ceilings, large windows, ceiling fans, and AC (that we didn't need to use) the temperature was always comfortable. The kitchen was adequately equipped and we took advantage of the washing machine in the nicely sized bathroom. The shower was larger than most of the places we stayed in Italy and provided good water pressure and temperature. Our host, Costanza, was informative and friendly; she responded to all communications in a timely manner. She even called us ahead of time to check on our travel itinerary. The only surprises that we encountered were minor, and in our opinion, out of the control of our host. The street below the apartment has multiple restaurants and bars that stayed open late. So even though the apartment location was perfect for access to food, historical sites, and the Metro train station, there were a few nights when our sleep was disturbed. Suggest using a white noise app to overcome the outside revelry. The second disappointment was that we couldn't use the very small balcony off the kitchen and access to the rooftop terrace was not allowed (due to a pending legal issue caused by misuse of previous guests.)
