Not great. The location was excellent. The accommodations were just ok. There was a strong smell of mildew in the air. They used air fresheners to try and improve. It was overall dark and damp. It was incredibly easy to go anywhere in the Centro Storico. The property manager was extremely accommodating with the check-in time and very responsive to a few issues that we had. There was an ant problem when we were there in May. They had obviously put down some sort of insecticide because most of the ants we encountered were dead, though not all. Every morning I swept up the ants, so not a huge problem. After I mentioned this to Giorgio he immediately came to try to rectify the situation. The apartment is somewhat damp - there is only one window that you can open, and that is the transom over the front door. The ventilation in general is not great, so if you are sensitive to that sort of thing, you should probably rent elsewhere. I think this isn't a huge issue since you're not coming to Rome to spend quality time in a hotel room. Again, I want to emphasize that the property manager was very attentive and responsive. We walked to Trevi Fountain, Colosseum, Spanish Steps, and everywhere else. The photos describe it perfectly except that it’s really bigger than it looks in them. It felt spacious, the bed was super comfy, the kitchen had everything we needed, lots of hangers and space to unpack, and it was in the 80s outside, so the AC unit was much appreciated. The entrance is down an alley like street and the apartment is on the ground floor, we felt like locals walking out our front door and there were restaurants and shops right around the corner. The owner/manager was very fast to communicate when were were messaging our arrival too. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! ##### Kerry H.
