Beautiful!
Massimo was so friendly really great communications room was amazing frdige had beer coke and juice. Breakfast was a typcial continental style affair but just delicious. Would definitely be back.

A hidden gem in a crowded city
I stayed here twice during my trip and I enjoyed it both times. Massimo and his wife were very warm and welcoming and always happy to help or give advice. The breakfast was nice - fruit, yogurt, cheese, a selection of breads and pastries, coffee, and tea. The rooms are not huge or fancy but for one or two people they are fine. I hope I can stay here again the next time I am in Rome.

Wonderful, convenient and friendly!
Massimo provided a lovely welcome and there was fresh fruit and beverages available upon my arrival. Also a few free drinks in my room fridge. I had a few work related calls and the internet worked beautifully. It was just a one night stay but would come again when I’m needing to stay near Termini. Just a 5 minute walk. My room was spacious and quiet. Will definitely return.

Very good choice for Rome
I stayed 4-nights at this hotel in September 2020. Staff are very helpful & reception give you a 24/7 number to call which is reassuring as a solo travel - never had to use it :) Telephone in the room would have been handy. Breakfast is cheap & cheerful & totally edible. As everything is individually wrapped it's handy to use for day snacks! As a solo traveller my room was small even though I was told I would get a Queen size room. In fairness, I never mentioned this to reception to give them a chance to rectify as I was not so bothered. The bed was either a large single or a very small double. But it was great for a single person. The room had a window & air con that worked. There was a lift to help get your bags to 2nd floor. Reception recommended some places to eat a 1-2 min walk away which were nice. Location is fantastic. So easy to navigate Rome's hotspots from here on foot. For further away places such as the Vatican, the hotel is 2-min walk from the Metro with lots of bus options. Being beside the Termini (train station) made life easy as the majority of buses/ Metro all serviced here & hotel is less than a 5-min walk from here. Area felt very safe. All in all a decent spot to stay when visiting Rome.

Roman Residence
The Roman Residence was perfect. Just a couple of blocks walk from the Rome Termini Train Station. Very clean room, spacious bathroom, comfortable bed, close to restaurants and market across the street. Was very pleased with everything. Roman Residence has a floor, in a building, with other “hotels”. Massimo provided excellent customer service during my stays!!! I would absolutely stay here again.

Excellent location, 5-mins walk to train and to downtown. Simple breakfast but the cappuccino is amazing! Very quiet and secure location. Love the fruit bar; they also give beer and coke free, which served well for the hot summer! Love the scents of the provided soap & shampoo as well! The only down side is that there’s cigarettes smell in common spaces..

We stayed at the Roman Residence before taking a cruise out of Civitavecchia. It was perfectly located from Roma Termini station (about 2 blocks) which was great to get to and from the airport and the cruise port. The checkin process was quick and our room was ready despite arriving much earlier than our checkin time. The breakfast and cappuccinos provided were delicious. The room was small but clean and perfect for 2 people. Would stay again overall.

Rome stay.
Roman Residence was just around the corner from termini train station. Close to many shops and restaurants and all sights are walkable (bus/metro stops close if needed) The staff were very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was great with a varied choice. You could help yourself to as much tea/coffee throughout the stay and in the bedroom each day was a free bottle of water/juice/coca cola/beer replaced each day. There was a small fridge and a safety box and the room was clean and modern. The bathroom was very modern too with towels changed daily. All in all a great place to stay.

Excellent place to stay in Rome
Roman Residence was a perfect base for our stay in Rome. It is close to the train station and everything is within walking distance if you have a good pair of walking shoes. The proprietor and his staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good and we appreciated the free items in our room. In our room the wifi was rather weak but otherwise everything was great.

Massimo and Natalia are fantastic. Very attentive throughout our stay. Greeted with a smile each morning asking if we would like coffee and breakfast bites. Great location for using the hop on buses and metro links. Central enough that most sights are within walking distance. Perfect hotel for what we needed.

Fantastic location, so central. Rooms very clean, bed super comfortable and staff welcoming and caring. If you like a large breakfast, this place isn` t for you. The choices are limited and there is no where to eat your breakfast other than in your room. But you can make yourself a hot drink anytime, and staff do so at breakfast, and there is water, juice, coke and even a beer provided free in the mini bar.

The people that run this place they don’t understand or speak English .. the so called breakfast was not what we expected when we had booked this place very sub par fir the bed & breakfast .. the walk hall before you get to the floor was dirty .. not impressed .. probably won’t stay in a place like this again

Great place to stay.
This hotel is located on the third floor of a building that has many other hotels on each floor. The room was modern, clean and had everything we need. Especially the outlets on both sides of the bed and a minibar where I kept my medications. Breakfast was adequate, prepared by lovely Natasha. She was great, very helpful and always with the smile. Many thanks to her help and recommendations. The location is excellent, very safe although close to the train station. We truly enjoyed our stay and will not hesitate to come back.

Great Hotel close to Rome train station.
Location excellent for hop on hop off buses, & easy walking distance to Collosium, & we even managed the walk to Vatican City - was a bit of a hike though. Nice restaurants close by.

Great Stay!
Roman Residence is a guesthouse type of hotel run by Massimo and assisted by Natasha. Located at Via Cavour 47 (about a 7 minute walk from Termini), head up to the 3rd floor. Knock or simply open the door and Massimo or Natasha will help you check in. You'll be lead to your room and they'll explain the key colours. The room is larger than anything you will get in a typical Roman hotel. It is very clean, the AC is Arctic-cold, and the bed very comfortable. Simple, but thoughtful touches for the weary traveler include a free minibar with a bottle of beer, a juice box, and a can of Coke. The bathroom is spacious enough. You will find a bidet, toilet, sink, and a shower. Let the shower run a minute or so for the warm water to flow. A bottle of shampoo/body wash is provided, as is a bar of soap and shower cap. The towels are very clean and replaced daily. You even get a pair of slippers! Breakfast is free. Simple in nature, it gets you some nourishment before you hit the road. Prepackaged croissants, bread, small cakes and cookies, and spreads such as butter, jam, Nutella are provided. Natasha will even make you a nice cappuccino or mocaccino, in my case. Around the hotel are a few pizzerias, restaurants. Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore is but a 4-minute walk away as well. Overall, I enjoyed the stay. I felt welcomed by Massimo and Natasha. Thanks for everything, and I hope to return as soon as possible.

Very clean, reasonably modern decor, in a spectacular location. I felt safe and comfortable here, and enjoyed the personal touches and kindness from the highly efficient staff. It was nice to come back to my room after a day of roaming the chaos that is Rome (really easy to get anywhere on foot or metro from here), and crack open the complimentary beer, Coke, or juice available daily in my own minibar - no extra charge, included in the cost of the room! True, the walls are rather thin, so you can hear your neighbours quite clearly, but honestly, it's Rome, and noise is all part of the experience. In an older building like this, I think it is reasonable to expect. The breakfast was perfect every day, and staff made me a cappuccino every morning (with a warm smile and cheerful 'buongiorno') to go with a wide assortment of lovely pastries and cheeses. I recommend Roman Residence to anyone, and would definitely stay here again.

I have only good things to say about the Roman Residence. The room was very clean. The service was very good. The location was excellent. 2 block walk to the main train station (Roma Termini). 45 minute walk the Trevi Fountain. Could have also walked downhill to the Colleseum, but we paid for a tour. Asked owner if room was available for our return trip to Rome, but unfortunately, the room isn’t available.

We had a great stay at Roman Residence. It is located in a great area with numerous excellent restaurants around. We never had to use public transportation since most of the attractions are within walking range. Our host was very accommodating and the services provided outstanding. We highly recommend staying here and will definitely stay here again when we come back to Rome.

Comfortable Residence near the Trenni Station.
Nice guest house nicely situated not far from the Trenni station. Lots of good places to eat nearby and easy access to entire city via subway, bus and train. Massimo and Natascha were our hosts and they were fantastic resources for getting us oriented in Rome. Between them they speak about six languages fluently, so most folks from Europe and North America will have no problems communicating. The room was very comfortable. Beds are quite firm, which suited us, but may not be for everyone. Bathroom was very clean and nice to use. The fridge comes stocked with beer and soft drinks gratis. There are also complimentary slippers for guests. Room was generally quiet and Italian breakfast is plentiful. Highly recommended.

The hotel is very close to the central train station which makes it extremely convenient to go everywhere. Rooms where simple but comfortable, very clean and the staff was great. We had a great stay and would definitely stay there again!

It was a little disappointing considering some of the places I stayed. I thought it was a regular hotel but it wasn't. Breakfast was minimum but the staff was friendly and helpful. I would have expected a bit better for the price as this accommodation would require a lower rate per night.

The room itself was fine. It was clean with a number of complimentary things like slippers. The bed was comfortable. One of the rooms next to ours must have been a smoking room and for non-smokers it wasn't pleasant. The shower didn't drain properly which meant turning the shower off half way through a shower so we weren't standing in the water. We paid for breakfast, we were told it would be ready at 730am. 740am there was still no breakfast so we paid for it for nothing. Also, there was very little toilet paper in our bathroom, we couldn't find a second roll or someone to alert once we realized that night. If you are looking for a cheap place near termini, this will do for a night.

Lovely residence, lovely staff, fantastic location
First off this is NOT your typical hotel (with over 50 rooms etc....), in fact not at all. The residence in question only occupies a renovated portion of an entire floor of an old Rome building (but still in a decent shape). My room (room number 6) was modern, well appointed with a small fridge, flat screen tv (with many many italian channels but did not find any English channel except for Music channels) and good Wifi. Massimo and her assistant are very helpful and responsive but make sure you inform them of your arrival time ahead of time (because there is no formal reception). Breakfast is continental so do not expect any salad nor any fruits but the coffee (can be made to order) is fine, packaged croissants and bread are decent. There also is yogurt, butter and jam and even nutella. Another good aspect of this residence is the super convenient location, walkable to almost every interesting Rome site plus the massive Termini train station is less than a five minute walk away (maybe 5 minutes).

It's close to everything we walked to all the things we visited! the service was nice. The breakfast is very simple and you have to eat in your room. it was ok for us, but I know some people would hate that.

The hotel was clean and very conveniently located near the Termini. Excellent for getting to and from the airport/train/metro. Husband loved the nespresso machine and fridge in the room. Three in one room was a little cramped, but we were hardly there. The A/C worked great, which is what really matters. Breakfast is served a little late if you want to grab something before a tour, and is minimal.

Room was bigger than expected and very clean which was good.Massimo was great and very helpful. All the main attractions are within walking distance with the colosseum about 15 mins away. Breakfast was ok and there is a restaurant next door and opposite which were great and reasonably priced. My only negative was the shower didn't work as well as it should due to the shower head but that didn't spoil our stay.

Small quirky hotel, one of a number of hotels in one building on a busy city thoroughfare just off the transport terminal. Situated on the second floor accessed by a 50's style elevator, one of a number of hotels on this and other landings. Eventually found the right door and was shown to a very clean, functional room with very good toilet and shower room. Comfortable bed. 4(?) rooms. breakfast was a continental buffet which Was eaten standing in the small corridor or taken back to your room. Very friendly and helpful staff, they made excellent coffee !

Great staff but not an hotel.
My stay got off to a bad start when I was robbed in the hotel lobby, not the hotels fault but I feel it's a fair reflection of the general safety of the area. The "hotel" is just a bunch of individual rooms each side of a public corridor. I was booked for five nights but left after one and didn't even ask for a refund.
