The location is excellent! Bus lines steps from the hotel, dining options and small ancient ruins right across the street. Thomas was especially helpful and kind. I recommend!
We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly and offered an intimate and hospitable environment. We arrived early and the staff were able to arrange an early check in so we could get some much needed sleep following our overnight flight. The location was fantastic for sight seeing, and had great food and shopping in the immediate area. The building itself is old and has a lot of character. I know others complained there is not a lift, but frankly if this is a problem for you, you should consider skipping Rome altogether because it is a big and ancient city with many hills and stairs, which require significant walking and climbing. Our only slight complaint is there was very little hot water for showering, and it was basically a 50/50 chance, regardless of the time of day, that your shower would be hot. Other than that minor issue, we really enjoyed our stay and would strongly recommend the Relais Teatro Argentina.
Hotel no cuenta con ascensores, queda en un segundo piso, los pisos son muy altos luego es muy incomodo subir tantos escalones con maletas, incluso sin estas.
Lugar oscuro. No cuenta con desayuno. Mal Servicio.
Mala experiencia
Great location small hotel with a lot around it with easy transportation

The "front desk" clerk came down and carried my luggage up the stairs for me and was very friendly and professional. This was more like a cross between a hotel and apartment (room and bathroom but no real front desk--I had a question later at night and he had gone home). The room was HUGE, bathroom spotless, furnature very old and smelled I think like old cigarette smoke, bedding not clean, no safe in room. It was quiet and the a/c worked well. Close to Pantheon.
Location was across the street from a major bus line, many food and shopping options. Location is on a quiet street. Building is a classic, so rooms have high ceilings, and antique furnishings. Bathroom was modern and roomy. Mattress was a bit hard for my taste. Room had air conditioner that had a hard time keeping up with the summer heat. Did not purchase optional breakfast. Staff was communicative, very helpful, and helped secure early morning private car transportation to airport that was only a few dollars more than hiring a taxi. Would stay here again.
Our stay here wa great. Close enough to walk everywhere.
Our host was helpful and available to us. He even helped us get our laundry
done, and arrange a taxi driver to the train station.

Central location a plus - more of an Airbnb rentaroom then a true b&b.
Lovely stay. Convenient location. Great air conditioning, big room, good shower, bed was firm but comfortable. Capucino and croissant brought to our room for breakfast. Walk up 4ish flights of stairs which was fine......hubby and I in our late fifties.
The hotel is in the heart of Rome, within walking distance of numerous places of interest, restaurants, and shopping. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated and staff are friendly and willing to provide visitors with good information about places to visit.
Great location and the staff were exceptionally helpful. Even in a busy location, the room was spacious, comfortable and very quiet with the "sound-proof" windows closed (AC was provided).
Perfect location, close to everything. Large room, great staff.

Breakfast in a garbage closet
We booked two nights, but left after one night as the location and room was not what we expected. This is not a hotel, but a bedroom in an apartment that you are sharing with other people. Once in the room, there is no way to ensure that anyone else who has ever stayed here didn't get a key made to enter your room as there is no secondary lock on the room door. We felt very unsafe, as you are basically sharing an apartment with strangers, and have no idea who else has a key and can enter at will while you are asleep. They make breakfast in a garbage closet and then deliver it to your room, as shown in the pictures. I was thankful that I asked where the breakfast was prepared, as there is no kitchen, so we did not eat it. I approached the owner to discuss and she felt that I was being unkind by telling her that I would not feed food to my children that had been prepared in the garbage closet. They refused to consider any refund, even for breakfast and asked for the room taxes in cash, even though there was a sign stating that they accept Visa/Mastercard. When we left, the person who brought our bags down went ahead of us to tell the taxi driver nasty things about us. We had a very pleasant drive to the airport, and upon leaving the taxi driver told us what this person had said about us as he couldn't understand why since he felt we were such a nice, friendly family. All in all, it was very unprofessional and we would never recommend this place to anyone.

Close to city center
No elevator to 3rd floor. Room was almost too hot to sleep first night. Better 2nd night.
My husband and I stayed 2 nights and it was a great end to our Italian vacation. The location was great, walkable to most of what there is to see in Rome and an easy cab to Vatican City. The room was large and comfortable. Tomas and Paolo were helpful and friendly. The only drawback is no elevator to the 4th floor hotel - so after a lot of walking around the city it was rough making it up those steps!
I had a wonderful stay in Rome! EVERYTHING is within walking distance. Even though I was at conference during the day, I walked, shopped, toured, and ate to my heart's delight.
After reading some of the initial comments regarding the 'Blue Room', I knew I didn't want it because I am a light sleeper. Sure enough, that was the room I got. BUT the owner had replaced the windows so there wasn't any noise coming through - not even the sound of the rain that I did want.
Thomas was fantastic and very helpful on any questions that I had about traveling. He even told me to take my umbrella because he knew it would rain later - and it did.
The only thing I missed at this hotel was breakfast BUT there were plenty of little bistros around to take care of that need.
I would most certainly stay here again.
Great location although the entryway is not very impressive. What stands out is the excellent service by Thomas, who went out of his way to accommodate our early departure with breakfast and carrying our bags to the taxi. Please note there is no elevator and there are lots of stairs! Would definitely stay there again.
The rooms are gorgeous and the service is amazing. The owners of this beautiful place went above and beyond to help my wife and I have a wonderful time on our honeymoon. If we are ever in Rome again, this will definitely be the place we stay.
We had a great stay at the hotel and the city. It's a nice and quiet place and the staff was very helpful.
The view from our room could be better but our plan wasn't to see Rome from our room anyways... We would definitly consider staying again if/when we return to Rome some day...

More shabby than chic
Very disappointed to have booked this place - we left after enduring four nights rather than stay the full seven. The hotel description does not mention the noisy two storey restaurant underneath or the fact that is is on the second floor and there is no lift. Room was spacious but the bathroom was poor - the toilet blocked and the painted bath was flaking....The breakfast is very poor and served on an outside balcony with no view in the rain. Staff are welcoming and friendly - but this hotel is not worth price charged - rip-off!
The first impression of this hotel is, really this is a hotel" because there is a small brass plate with the name, and a metal grill gate, and you have to call for admittance. However stick with it. This is the very essence of a boutique hotel. it is small very clean and very very well presented. The room I had was spacious with a very nice bed, plus free wifi, plus aircon that works very well. Overall very pleased as I am sure you will be
