Il letto matrimoniale in realtà aveva due materassi singoli affiancati, per cui, muovendomi nel sonno, finivo nello spazio tra i due materassi, sprofondavo e mi svegliavo. Inoltre, non so perché, pur avendo acquistato il pernottamento con la colazione compresa (che è uno dei punti di forza dell'albergo), alla reception mi hanno detto che la colazione non era inclusa. The room we had was very small... typical of Europe. Fire alarms in the middle of the night, elevator broke down the morning we left, and if you didn’t let them clean your room at 0800, it wasn’t getting cleaned. The breakfast was basically fruit, croissants and hard boiled eggs... if you want any anything more, you have to walk to one of the other nearby hotels and pay for their breakfast. The elevator only holds 2 grown adults... weight or size, it’s small and doesn’t hold much. You’re playing musical chairs getting a family up and down from the room if you have anything more than two people. I was rather nervous riding the rickety thing! The beds were OK... not comfortable my any means, but for a few days they were ok. The restaurants downstairs are actually quite good! I’d recommend La Bottega next door. It’s not close to ANY of the major tourist spots, so you’ll be walking a bit to get anywhere. The outside and look of the hotel was a little sketchy too... lots of trash on the street, the front of the hotel could use some cleaning, and the lobby was a bit run down. Again, if you’re heading to Rome on a budget... this place will work.
