The staff and service was excellent. Property is fairly close to the Vatican and Trastevere, but beware of the uphill climbs getting back to the hotel after long days of walking all over the city!

Qiet, safe, beautiful location.
Quiet gated garden location w pool on high hill with St. Peter's Dome view from restaurant. Need a taxi for most locations....15 min. down hill might be walkable, but uphill we needed taxi. 7- 15Euros to most locations, 25Euros to main train in traffic 30 min. 50Euros airport. but room cheap by comparisons. Near park/garden for views, walks and running. Loved pool bar even off season. NO ENGLISH TV.

complained about loudspeaker noise coming from an event at the hotel that could be heard in the hallways as well as our room but the concierge seemed more sympathetic to the event than us! lobby toilets were not serviced

very disappointed
The first room we were shown was not "superior" as paid for, tiny, dingy, depressing. The staff were extremely unfriendly and said they were sold out but when I complained loudly, they found a better room right away. The airconditioning didn't work for 2/4 nights -- when we complained we were met with denial, but finally a repair person was brought in. Once fixed airconditioning could only be regulated at the front desk which is very awkward. It is an antiquated system. We slept extremely badly and this made it difficult to work. The breakfast room is dark and depressing and the food is mediocre. The only redeeming feature is the pool which was very welcome as it was quite warm. The hours are limited however and when one is on a work trip that means one can't access the pool before or after work, a big disappointment. This place needs an overhaul. The pool and location are terrific, but the rest of the hotel could use major rennovation and new staff .
