This was a wonderful stay for us, with the most hospitable and friendly hosts, Christiano and Manuela. We enjoyed walking around, felt completely safe and there’s no shortage of food options. The hotel has a breakfast arrangement with a wonderful cafe two doors down, and we always felt welcome there. Fair warning: If you can’t stand thin walls (which is a norm in buildings like this in Rome) that will allow you to hear the noises from other guests, book another, regular hotel that is not a B&B. We were out and about most of the time, so it didn’t bother us at all. We liked the fact that the hotel is a 10-min walk from the Coliseum and one block away from the metro station, which made our movement around the city easy. Thankful to the hosts’ and city hospitality and would definitely stay there again.

Quiet abs
The room was clean and quiet. However if you have any dietary requirements they will accommodate but the cafe downstairs gives you a tiny gluten alternative.

Bedroom was Perfect. Just slightly problems with a toilet. No carpet in the bedroom, it’s a nice wooden floor. Need to bring your own slippers and maybe robe. I had a shower, After that I wanted a nice hot drink in the evening after a long walk in the Rome. Kitchen is next door, nice small kitchen. So I needed to jump back in to my clothes Just to go to make cup of tea. People who is working there was so friendly

Eldorado Colesseum
Good stay for a quick break with a great welcome & detailed advice given on Rome. Very quiet too & clean, don’t let the outside & entrance put you off. Good location just 10 minutes walk down the road to the Colosseum.

Ok stay nothing fabulous about this place.
This is a BNB with only 4 rooms. The rooms are large with private showers and toilet. The internet was working off and on, that was the most complaining from my teenage Son. Breakfast is tea or coffee with a pastry. Ok stay but I will probably look for something else if I come back to Rome

Lovely room in close proximity to Termini Station. Bedroom and bathroom were clean and modern with all the required amenities. Easy communication with hosts who provided great service. Overall, a wonderful stay!

Great stay for the price
The hotel is located close to the Colosseum and the metro. The staff was friendly and helpful, although only there in the mornings -which did not bother us. I believe they would have been easily accessible if there was anything we needed. It's a great place if you are looking for a clean and quiet place to sleep that is easily accessible.

Our Romantic Italian getaway
Our stay was quite enjoyable in Rome this past weekend, the guesthouse was quite secure (had to pass 2 main doors before reaching the lift) which then had a main door and the room door. We didn't have any specific expectations for our trip but the room was very nice and clean, big enough to move around freely and theres a nice view of the street from the window which was nice to look out of at night time. The only downside we could think of was at night time, the area came off as dangerous but overall didn't really effect our stay. There are 2 metro stops (Vitorrio Emmanuele (?) and Manzino) very close to the guesthouse (5/10 mins walk), if you get lost don't be afraid to ask locals for help. One Italian gentleman was kind enough to escort us to the metro which we greatly appreciated! From this point onwards the transport gets really easy to use if you're heading out to Trevi Fountain or the Colosseum (the only 2 stops we had much time for). We had decided to leave at 2am for our flight which the host arranged a taxi for us! Sadly we got there too early, so if you are leaving for the Ciampino airport bear in mind it only takes 20 mins via taxi and the airport is closed between 12am - 4am. May be best to catch an extra hour of sleep rather than stand in the pouring rain wishing you hadn't left so early! Overall we had a lovely stay at El Dorado Colosseum, with public transport being so close and easy to use we expect to drop by again sometime very soon.

Great value stay conveniently located
Great little B&B in a good location, close to all the sights. We got a great price (~ $100 Euro for 2 nights) and thought it was excellent value for money! We thought we would need to use public transport but from this B&B we spent a day walking a 17km round trip and saw all the major sights! It was a great place to rest our tired legs after - clean, roomy and with air conditioning (don't underestimate how good this is in summer in Italy - many other places we have stayed didn't and we really appreciated it here!). The Colosseum is only a short walk away. One thing to note - it's very hidden, so make sure you check the street number and buzz to get in, which we didn't do! Lucky we were rescued whilst standing looking puzzled on the doorstep. The metro was out of service when we were there which made getting there from Termini a bit of a hassle (replacement buses were very crowded and not fun with luggage) but I imagine when the metro is in service it would be very easy. The free breakfast was across the road at a little cafe/restaurant - just a coffee/drink and croissant but that was all we needed! Lots of little supermarkets and a pharmacy etc. nearby. Definitely recommend staying here!

Quaint place
Hotel was quite unique, situated on second floor of old apartment building. Take a very old lift to second floor or climb two flights of stairs. About five rooms have been converted into guest rooms. Ours was comfortable, amenities about what you'd expect for the price.

Very close to metro and train. We walked from Rome Terminii but took the metro back - it is only 100 metres away from the hotel. The room was very clean and is serviced daily. There is also a communal kitchen but although we used the kettle we could see no way of using either the stove or hot plates. Very central place to stay and would stay there again.

Great location and value for money!
We were able to walk into Rome every day. It was approximately a mile to the Colosseum. We also walked to the Vatican 3 times and also to all the wonderful sights. Great location,

Only thing I didn't like was that there was no one at the property at all times and we didn't know to alert the manager of our time of arrival and had to wait for someone to come and give us keys.

Great B&B for the self sufficient.
Nice little B&B. If you are a self sufficient traveler this is a great place to stay (staff only there when checking in or cleaning) . The beds are comfortable and it is clean. Wi-fi is good. Located close to Manzoni metro station. Minibar in the room and hot pot available in communal area. Breakfast is drink and a croissant that you have to go about 1 1/2 block to get at a local cafe (they give you a coupon). Shower has awesome water pressure but it is ultra tiny.

We stayed in this B&B for our 4 nights in Rome from Sep 30-Oct 4, 2015. This is place well connected being close to a metro station Manzoni within 2 stops of main train station and within walking distance of Colosseum. The family managing this place is very helpful and suggested us the good places to see around the city. They offer breakfast in cafe next door. There are good restaurants nearby. Room was very comfortable and clean. I would recommend this place as good value for money.

The room was nice and cool and spacious. The owner's mother was there on arrival to show us around and was nice and friendly and made good suggestions for where we should visit and eat out. Location was fine and we walked everywhere.

We arrived not really sure what to expect and were greeted by lovely members of staff. The room was lovely, comfy and clean, and was close to a very convenient mini mart (which was also very cheap!). Breakfast was a drink and a croissant from a couple of places up the road (all included in the stay)- it was great to experience the culture around where were were, not just the hotel itself. Fab place, lovely people- would definitely recommend it to a friend.

Fantastic authentic Italian city break.
Great base for exploring Rome. Would stay again and would recommend. Room cleaned every day, fresh towels and bed made. Courtesy beverages in communal room along with maps and tourist info. Free Wifi honesty mini bar and very secure. Brilliant value for money if your looking for a taste of athe real Rome.

Deceiving pictures and description on the site - Hotels.com. A "guesthouse", not a hotel in any way, shape, or form. Old building with a locked door, no signage, and the owner was not there, even though I had a reservation. Interior room photographs may have been accurate at one time, but no longer. Tired towels, dirty floors and mirrors. No security or management there at night. You are on your own. Neighborhood looks rough. I would not stay there, and I left, finding a far superior hotel for a little more money. I will be demanding my money back.

Lovely Small Hotel
Well, not really a hotel as such but more a BnB thats 10 minute walk from the Colosseum, 5 minute walk to the metro and pretty central to everything else in Rome. Stayed here for 5 nights with my girlfriend and can't really fault the place. Only downside to it was that the walls and doors where a little on the thin side.

Mmmm Hotel? clean but not a Hotel
The stay was fine, however I must point out that this isn't a "hotel". Its a suite of rooms on the second floor of a block, with a common area as a kitchen, and breakfast not at this premises, but a few doors down the street. This all works quite well and for the price its great, but its not a hotel! The picture on the website of a door with steps, is the inside of a large street door, and is the same door as other non hotel property. You don't get that view from the street (that's a bit naughty and misleading!) again the stay was fine but the description a bit "Walter Mitty"

People who owned the hotel were very friendly. The room was homey, comfortable and located in the perfect part of the city. Two minutes walking from the train station, and five minutes driving from the main monuments.

Comfort and Access in the Heart of Rome
The B&B is one and one-half blocks north of the Manzoni Metro stop, which is the second stop south of the Termini train station on the A (red) line. Gianluca met us promptly at the corner, and he gave efficient instructions after he escorted us to the site. High ceilings in the building make the climb to the second floor seem like three flights, but a very fast classic elevator eliminates the need. Freshly painted, modern appointments with large mirrors. Lots of hot water and towels. Small but serviceable bathroom retrofitted into a large bedroom. The Via Emanuele Filiberto is a busy street, but the modern balcony doors lock out the noise. Large, comfortable bed. AC and Italian-only TV. Small fridge in room, stocked w/drinks for sale. Accepted credit card for payment. Very serviceable wifi. Very secure, with three keys to enter the building, B&B, and room. (Almost too secure. As usual at B&Bs, the door to the room locked from the inside with a key. It may be a good idea to leave the key in the door inside against any need to exit in a hurry in the dark.) The included breakfast is a croissant and coffee at a friendly coffee shop a block north. At night the coffee shop becomes a bright and popular restaurant. Many small food stores nearby. Easy walking distance to St. Maria Maggorie, San Clemente, St. John Lateran, the Colosseum, and the Palatine Hill. The operator is not on site, but the staff was present every morning. Sufficient English.

Good location close to center and subway
This is an apartment with a kitchen and 4 rooms for guests. We stayed in the room with the balcony, which was really nice. There is no 24hr reception or staff but Gian Luca was really helpful and reachable when needed.
