My wife and I recently stayed at Domus Liberius and had an average experience. The location is excellent, just a 5-10 minute walk from the main train station and surrounded by good restaurants, cafes, and supermarkets, though tourist traps are nearby.
Access is a hassle with multiple key-fobbed doors that close quickly, and the slow lift to the third floor. Communication with the owners via WhatsApp was good, but the hotel operates more like bedsit rooms with no 24-hour reception, so extra items like towels or toilet paper require waiting until the next day.
Facilities are basic: no in-room kettle, just a shared one in the foyer with limited supplies, and no milk. The rooms show wear and tear, and the bathrooms need a deep clean and reseal due to mould. We also heard a scuffling noise resembling a mouse or rat one night.
The rooms have high ceilings but small windows, limiting natural light. While the view of the nearby church is nice, there's typical road noise. Overall, the hotel feels overpriced for what it offers. There are better options nearby unless improvements are made.
