Affordable & centrally located

Decent hotel for the money. Second time I've stayed here. Like the location to the main termini. Stayed in other hotels, like this one.

Basic, yet clean and ideally located.

Great location near Vatican/colleseum etc. Rooms are very dated and small. However clean and comfortable enough if you are there for the sight seeing and just need somewhere to rest after a long days touring

Nice Hotel for the price

Posted 10-Feb-2017
Pros: Price and Location
Cons: Rooms could do with a freshen up
Location: Close to train station, restaurants and within walking distance of many of the sights you want to see when in Rome.
Rooms are a reasonable size with a large double bed, safe and fridge. The continental breakfast had a selection of croissants and cakes as well as cereal, rolls, cheese, egg and cold meats. There was a lift to all floors.

Great location

Posted 20-Dec-2016
Pros: Location
Cons: Owners should travel the world and see what others are offering, then replicate it and become a world renowned hotel in Rome.
Location: coliseum 15 min, Vatican 45 min, pantheon 20 min walk. Not many quality eats nearby so head 15 min into the heart of Rome for a decent meal.
Check in was met by a grumpy old man, No warm face hear just a stern, pale grouch. We got our room key and headed to the sixth floor. The lift was shabby and scratched up, we instantly knew this was not a four star hotel. The room was a 5x4m box with a 2x2m bathroom. On the plus side we had a balcony looking over the roof tops to a couple of nice church domes. The bed was welcoming after a long day sight seeing. The TV in the room is a small 12 CRT (old tube) thing with only one English speaking channel BBC world news which is intermittent. The mini bar was lame and its contents should really be included with the room, a few bottles of soft drinks and a beer on the house would be acceptable, considering our travels to other parts of Europe, Asia and the USA. Bathroom was a let down, mouldy shower cubicle, water stained marble sink surround, dripping bidet tap. Slept very well, breakfast is on the 7th floor, once again lacking, better off finding the real deal elsewhere. We entered and the chef/waiter did not acknowledge us entering the room, not even with my best bonjourno! It's the usual continental breakfast but, the bread and pastries where stale, luke warm coffee out of a machine and dried out meat selection. When your an avid tourist like us, who are a bit addicted to travel, a big tasty breakfast to last you all day is needed to keep you going. This is where the buffets we have experienced in other parts of Europe including Iceland, Asia and the USA are very good

Waste of money

Posted 30-Nov-2016
Pros: The balcony view and we can leave our luggage even though we already checked out but the luggage is left on the corridor which isnt very safe.
Cons: Everything
Location: Termini, some tourist spots which are only 5 minutes walk from there.
I dont even know where to start my rant as there was so many! The WiFi was only in the lobby and doesnt usually connects very well. The whole building is very outdated, the shower's drainage was blocked so me and my boyfriend cant shower straight away, when someone showers we have to wait for it to be fully drained before one of us can use it again which waste more of our time instead of going out to explore more. The plugs are the worst! Can't charge my laptop, nor straighten my hair nor anything! Have to use those small plugs that can only charge phones. Air condition doesnt work, no air is coming out. The breakfast only has bread and coffees. The staff is half half friendly. There was this cooking lady (I think) who just sits there and staring at us while eating and when I was trying to use one of their water dispenser, that old lady was shouting at me in Italian! Then I thought of not using it then I heard along the lines that she said stupido and pazzo which was so rude! Everything is so restricted! Not going to come back at all.

close to city centre

Posted 21-Nov-2016
Pros: Very close to main railway station, lift to all floors.
Cons: Cleanliness and structural repairs inside could be vastly improved
Location: Central location, plenty of good restaurants not too expensive
Shabby interior although they have tried renovations they have been badly done. Public areas showing age badly, rooms not clean although comfortable.

No wifi in room, only lobby. Otherwise ok. I would call it a 3 star, not a 4. Can't see a difference from what I usually stay in, which are 3 stars.
