Overall we had a great stay. We wish the complementary breakfast had more varieties and have more protein based options like boiled egg, scrabbled eggs etc. we stayed for 5 nights and we got bored of eating same breakfast after our 3rd days. Also I wish they had hand soap or bars. It was inconvenient to wash hands just with shower gels since they are not exactly the same. Otherwise we loved our stay! We will definitely book again if travel México city again.

A Solid Choice for a Trip with Friends Hotel Avándaro is a good option, and it also works well for a getaway with friends. The property is very well maintained — it’s not the most modern hotel out there, but it has a charm and quality that hold up nicely over time. The atmosphere is calm and quiet, which makes sense given that it’s primarily geared toward families. The bar at night is practically empty, so don’t expect a lively scene — but if you’re looking to unwind, that can actually be a plus. The grounds are great for walking, and the food is fresh, healthy, and genuinely enjoyable. A few things to note: the pool was a bit cold for the season despite being heated, and the fitness classes at the gym tend to get crowded, so we ended up going to another hotel for the spa experience. We also had a citywide blackout during our stay, which left us without electricity or Wi-Fi for a while — not the hotel’s fault, but worth mentioning. On the bright side, the location is excellent — you can walk into the town center easily, which is great for exploring. All in all, a pleasant stay, and I’d happily come back with friends again.

An exceptional stay — the staff are truly the hallmark of this hotel, even more impressive than the property itself. I traveled alone to Mexico City for surgery and don’t speak Spanish, so I was grateful that many staff members spoke English. The hotel is beautiful; the rooms aren’t quite as large or luxurious as they appear online, but they are still very lovely. Some pre‑arrival requests weren’t communicated, which required a room change the next day. Rooms facing Reforma offer better views but significantly more street noise, not ideal for recovery. I stayed in the Sky Suites; breakfast is included but must be taken in the restaurant, not in-room. During the first postoperative days, I was too ill to go downstairs and asked for a boxed breakfast to be sent up, which they couldn’t accommodate. For a two‑week stay in an upper-tier room, that felt like a small concession a 5‑star property could make. Fortunately, room service was excellent — superb food and consistently polite, kind, and attentive staff. Fernando, the Concierge, secured my medication and had it delivered within minutes. Alfredo at the entrance looked out for me, even calling my room to check on me when I hadn’t appeared for a couple of days. Both made a point to come outside to say goodbye on my departure. I felt safe, cared for, and genuinely spoiled. From location to amenities — and especially the staff, I cannot emphasize this enough — this was a lovely stay. I will highly recommend the Marquis Reforma.

We had an incredible stay. The space had everything we needed and we loved having a beautiful outdoor space to relax in. The bed was comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful, especially as we were traveling with our infant. It was invaluable to have laundry and a drinkable water station. The only thing that would have made it better would have been some comfy robes!
