We are 8 minutes from the airport. The house is set on a dreamy 4 km private sandy beach. A picture perfect setting has been created for our guests with all the tropical entrapments of palm trees and stunning views of the legendary turquoise waters of Exuma. A driveway entrance of carved out limestone and Coco Palms reveal an island home adorned with sky blue Bahamian shutters and a creamy white shiplap facade. A window glass door welcomes you where you can see the ocean as soon as you have arrived. The beach house features a 4 bedroom main house, sleeping 10\. Guests will find two King oceanfront bedrooms and one King with a custom Murphy Bunk Bed, all with ensuites. The fourth bedroom has King bed that can be customized to be two Twins. A pocket door provides access to a King ensuite. The beachfront cottage is spacious and offers panoramic views of the ocean. It is fitted with a King bed and ensuite. It is steps away from the main house and the beach. The Sandbar was designed to celebrate and create long lasting memories for family and friends. The open living areas encourage socializing while providing spaces for seclusion and relaxation. The Great Room is striking with its vaulted ceilings and whitewashed rafters. An entertainers dream kitchen is the heart of the room and a 6' bar window allows guests to be engaged with the outdoor happenings as well. The custom round dining table for10 will have you sharing food and drink into the wee hours. I can hear the stories and laughter now ! There are comfy couches with a large coffee table you can put your feet on, a swivel Egg chair you can snuggle up in and read in, a games area to play chess, cards or dominoes AND an open area for dancing !. You have to have dancing ! The windows and French doors of the room stretch 32' across the oceanside to an expansive pool deck featuring a covered Alfresco dining and lounge area for 12 .The tanning ledge infinity pool is decked out with two tanning ledge loungers, while another six loungers hug the pool edges. A lower deck of white Adirondike chairs provide another area to hang out in and enjoy what I call the "The Exuma Effect"... being hypnotized by the color and sounds of the turquoise waters. The Lower deck is just steps from the ocean where you can access the storage underneath to gather up your kayaks or paddle boards. Gorgeous views and beautiful home. Very close to the airport and not far from George Town. If I had to come up with a negative about the house is that it is not a 5 bath house. The house has 4 full baths and a half bath in the entryway by the front door. We had 5 couples thinking everyone would have their own bathroom but 2 of the bedrooms share a bathroom. The house was very clean and Heather answers all your questions immediately. Most questions she even answers before you ask. We will be staying here again in the future but only with 4 couples next time. The Sandbar's location is perfect. The most beautiful beach and ocean! We had 8 adults from 18 to 73\. We snorkeled, paddle boarded and kayaked right off our beach nearly every day. The home is decently supplied and clean. The house is well appointed. Heather was very helpful prior to the trip with recommendations for meals, transportation & excursions.We hired Betty to make & deliver food for 2 nights. The menu was full of choices and everyone loved her food!We also hired Awesome Al to take us around on 2 separate days by boat where we got to see everything that we wanted (lazy river, sandbars and of course swimming pigs, feeding iguanas, swimming with sharks) and much more.We rented 2 jeeps and were able to go wherever/whenever, although if you didn't want to spend the money on that, your trip would not be compromised as meals, groceries and even booze can be easily delivered.No one in our party wanted to leave.We would stay here again. ##### Kimberly W. Four families each with a small child (6 months to 2.5 years) and one nanny had the BEST time at the Sandbar! The home is perfectly equipped, squeaky clean, convenient to the airport, and even better than the pictures. The hosts were great to communicate with and helped plan a perfect trip with their excellent recommendations from a private chef to a private boat tour to see Exuma’s famous pigs! This luxury rental is truly second to none. This is our second time to Exuma and the location cannot be beat.The house itself is absolutely gorgeous. Every corner is thoughtfully designed, blending luxury with a welcoming, homey vibe that made us feel right at ease. It accommodated three generations of our family seamlessly, offering enough space for privacy and communal areas perfect for creating cherished memories.Heather, our host, was exceptional. She went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect, answering questions promptly and providing excellent recommendations. Her attention to detail and warm hospitality made the experience even more special. We ordered food from Betty for night one and groceries since the store was closed after 3pm on Sunday.The location? Pure perfection. Nestled on one of the most picturesque parts of the island, Whether it was sunrise walks or evenings spent under the stars in the hot tub, every moment felt magical.This trip was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Three generations of our family shared paradise together, and The Sand Bar was the perfect backdrop for these unforgettable memories. We can’t wait to return to this little slice of heaven! The Sandbar listing represents this beautiful property well, but walking in the front door took my breath away. The house is great space for a large group, decorated warmly and welcoming, and provides all of the amenities you need for a relaxing, comfortable beach vacation. Heather was so helpful before and during our trip with tips and information. The property manager was available to answer questions and help in any way. The beach is soft, white sand and the pool and hot tub were put to good use. It was just an outstanding property! ##### Nancy T. The Sandbar is an incredible ocean front home on one of the most beautiful beaches you’ll ever see. Our 9 night stay there as a family of 10 was perfect and Heather was most helpful in planning our vacation-from activities to chef services to just enjoying the house. The house itself is stunning, comfortable and well stocked. She has thought of everything. I highly recommend this property and host and hope we will be returning again.
