Parking is available onsite, and no spaces are shared. The cabin is exclusively yours to enjoy—spread out, relax, and make yourself at home in total privacy. The Neighborhood: Cat’s Cradle is located in the Shawnee Run neighborhood, a quiet and convenient area that keeps you close to everything the Red River Gorge has to offer. This central location makes it easy to reach popular attractions, scenic trailheads, local dining, and essential amenities within minutes. Getting Around: While Cat's Cradle offers a secluded escape, it's conveniently located with easy access to the area's main attractions. Public transportation options are limited in this rural area, so having a car is recommended. Free parking is available on-site for multiple vehicles. The cabin is approximately a 1.5-hour drive from Lexington, KY, which offers regional airport access. Please note that ride-sharing services may have limited availability in the Red River Gorge area. Hot Tub did not have any bromine in it. We have a hot tub so we brought a test strip, this is how we knew. We called and they did come right away and filled it however the alkalinity was low so we offered up our chemicals to help fix that. The TV was broken, it worked but had static in it through most of the shows. We understood it was a weekend and they couldn't get a new one to us in time but the only compensation for the incovenience was 15% off a future stay. We were only there for a wedding and have no desire to come back. There was also no shampoo or soap in the shower/bath tub as stated in the listing. Thankfully I brought some for everyone just in case. Based on these items I feel that one could say there was some false advertising and no compensation for the issues not available to us. There was laundry detergent but zero instructions. Overall it was a nice, very quiet place but I felt they should have compensated us for all the lack of amentities that we expected. I brought my kids up there to spend time paddle boarding the caves! The house is five minute drive to the underground caves and Natural Bridge. The cabin was easy to find and close to the venue. There was great parking. The cabin was spacious, clean, and very beautiful!!! The owner was easy to work with and highly recommend this cabin. Cat's Cradle VRBO was just over the top GREAT !! Location was private and quiet and serene. Inside was decorated so cool... was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Great location to all the hiking and Red River Gorge activities. Well stocked with utensils, and appliances and grill were like new. Hot tub on the screened in patio was an added bonus. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms spacious and nice, and plenty of table and counter space around the unit. Host was easy to contact, and responded immediately if you had any concerns or questions. Cat's Cradle is a VRBO gem ! By far, one of the best vacation stays we ever had. We WILL be back !!!! ##### Fred M. We loved the open space and the screened in porch with the hot tub. It was in a great location for us - close to the Gorge Underground and hiking trails. We come out once a year to explore the Daniel boone backyard and decided to check this place out. I can honestly say we were beyond amazed at the cabin. Very close to all the attractions there Gorge offers. The cabin and grounds were very clean. The beds were comfortable. This cabin had everything in it you would need or want for a family or group of friends to stay during your vacation to Red River Gorge. Highly recommend. ##### Jon C. We were so close to Red River Gorge all of our hikes were easy to do and it was refreshing to drive back to the place and relax. We thoroughly enjoyed our family weekend getaway for our daughter's 30th birthday. This beautiful home is located in a very quiet remote area where we viewed beautiful sunsets from the large windows. The kitchen and living area was big enough to accommodate all 8 of us with all the modern appliances. We enjoyed the ping pong, hot tub and fire pit.
