![Bonner Bridge is one of North Carolina's most well known man-made structures of it's kind (The Linn Cove Viaduct on the Blue Ridge Parkway is probably the most well known). This location makes for a great getaway at the Outerbanks to spend an entire day (and night). The location is popular for fishing and is ideal for landscape and astro photography. You can have lots of fun on some of the dunes, although getting the sand out afterwards is a big hassle.

This is one of my favorite images from this location. I love the warm light tones and the shadows that create a contrast in the foreground sand. It is created from a single exposure with only minor modifications made to adjust overall contrast and brightness. 

If you are interested in wildlife, the Pea Island Wildlife Refuge is nearby and is a very popular location.

« I enjoy going to the Outer Banks off season when it's a bit cooler and there are a lot less people. We wanted to be able to have a house close to the beach that also provided some privacy and we wanted a hot tub. In addition, we require a full kitchen because my son has allergies so we can't go to restaurants. I have to cook all of our meals.This was a lovely home. We were able to spend some wonderful time as a family. We were close enough to some of the attractions to be able to go to the...

« This was a spectacular visit to the OBX! The house was clean and beautiful all around. The coffee/tea bar was exquisite and the hot tub was lovely after a long day of fun/physical recreation.
