In addition, you will be granted access to the private beach and the nearby public park, where you can experience a ride on an authentic antique carousel, take a stroll along Charlotte Pier, and tour the oldest surviving lighthouse on Lake Ontario, which is still operational to this day. As with any home, there are a few things you may want to be aware of before booking your stay: Please note that both bedrooms are located on the second floor, which can be accessed via a staircase with 13 steps. Additionally, there is a corner near the bottom of the steps that requires some extra care when descending. While the walls are insulated, please be aware that the "Lakeside Hideaway Studio" is a separate unit at the back of the house, and sound may travel between the units. As a fun fact, the street racing scene depicted in the 1979 hit song "Rev on the Red Line" by the iconic band Foreigner was based on actual street racing on Lake Avenue in Rochester. This tradition still carries on today and Lake Avenue is just a few blocks from your vacation home. You may occasionally hear cars racing, please be careful when crossing to the beach, and enjoy the unique cultural history that surrounds you during your stay. To maintain a peaceful atmosphere in our community, my space is not available for parties. Please note that noise monitoring equipment has been installed, and any loud parties will result in immediate eviction without a refund. Everything we wanted and needed was there - kitchen is so nice and bathroom(s) have a great shower with awesome water pressure. Gorgeous location with comfortable porches, lake views and sunsets. Very well appointed, lovely stylish furniture and also very comfortable. Beds were great! Such a nice location surrounded by other beautiful, well-kept, historic lake homes - and all the gardens are just stunning. We really enjoyed our stay and the fenced area for our dog was a secure space for him and just perfect to sit outside and enjoy. Great area for dog walks too while admiring the beach and gardens. Off-street parking was also appreciated in the secure, gated area. We have family in the area and can’t wait to stay at Gregory’s home again next time we’re visiting from Colorado. Thanks for a memorable vacation!! PS the game room is super fun, my husband loved the video game! There is no hot tub! 2\. These is no jetted bathtub! 3\. There is no outdoor grill! 4\. The master balcony - shown as accessible and usable with furniture on it has been permanently locked and there is no furniture. 5\. This property was rented to us as an “ENTIRE HOUSE” according to VRBO however there are actually 2 different rentals under one roof in a regular house and a part of the house inside and outside has been locked away and is being rented separately!! This is absolutely unacceptable. We will report these inaccuracies to VRBO as well and hopefully this host will remove these falsely listed amenities and features and list their properly correctly on VRBO for future guests. ##### Richard W. It was a great place to decompress in-between visiting with family in the area. The neighborhood was perfect for long beautiful walks by Lake Ontario with our dogs and they loved the nearby ##### Gianna G. Note - there is a small apartment in the back of the house. We did not realize it and heard footsteps upstairs which was a little freaky til we saw the sign in one of the bedrooms about the apartment. It was not a problem. ##### gini w.
