Great resort
I love the Westgate Tunica Resort this is my second time staying down there I have family in the surrounding area so it makes it easy for me to see everyone plus the casinos near by and Downtown Memphis is only 20 minutes away but even with that being said they need to do a little updating I had a deluxe Villa Suite with enclosed patio the outside patio door could just be pulled open with the slightest grip also my patio door blinds was missing a whole blind and they really need to update the pull-out sofas the cushions are very uncomfortable other than that I highly recommend this resort to others.

The rooms were excellent and very large. It had a very homey feel. I enjoyed having a large couch to lounge on while i was watching TV. It was furnished with every appliance needed including a washer and dryer. I got this room through expedia for a reduced rate. It was well worth it and i would've been fine paying more. The staff was excellent and very helpful. I would've given 5 stars if the rooms were more secure. They had the old school dead bolts without the inside chain. Logistically, this place is solid. It is very close to all of the good casinos. I would absolutely stay here again.

Noisy and dirty place.
The gym is a joke, as the equipment is outdated (pre 1980's). The carpet in the room was dirty and you can hear the neighbor's TV and other partying through the thin walls.

Worst Stay Ever!!!!
Oh my gosh! Huge armadillos in parking lot had me afraid after having trouble finding resort due to poor lighting on signage. The appliances were very out dated & refrigerator's ice maker was making a loud noise keeping me up all night,carpet was disgusting and mattresses should be burned. All figures in room were extremely dusty and a foul moldy smell. We had problems getting clean towels. The evening of the second day there were no staff on the permises.It's 2016 why wall paper in bathroom people??...I have stayed with Westgate in the pass and I was very disappointed and should be given a REFUND!!!!

it was just ok
Hot water was turned way down. We discovered this after hours and had to take luke warm showers. It was repaired the next day early am. Overall a good experience. Place is ok.

Outdated resort that needs major upgrades.
The water never got hot only warm. There were 0 knives in the kitchen, no coffee, the phone was never answered when calling the front desk. Anytime I needed anything I had to walk to the front desk.

Close to the concert hall.
My family had stayed at the Westgate in Gatlinburg, TN in June. Our experience there was incredible. When we arrived at the Westgate Tunica, we immediately spotted yellow caution tape on a set of stairs at a villa. The lobby was nice and clean, but there were no signs pointing us to the check-in area that was located around the corner and out of view. Our villa was clean except for the earring on the bathroom floor beside the vanity and hair on the back of the toilet. One of the villas adjacent to ours even had a window air conditioning unit. It seemed like the facility hadn't been maintained well.

The A/C barely worked and it was 100 degrees outside. There was only one small window unit that looked like it was about to fall out of the window and the filter looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a couple of years.

The office closes at8!!!!!!!
Which means if you need anything after eight pm you will be met with silence. Also the three raccoons outside of our door were a bit much

We killed 35 mosquitos in our room, and those were just the ones we saw when we first got there. Finally gave up the fight. Couldn't go on the porch because it was infested with mosquitos. There was dust all over the room. Under the bed we found a pair of shoes, a toy, and tons of dust. The from door was rigged up so it would lock. There was a huge pile of dirt by the front door. This was the DELUXE villa by the way. We weren't able to check in even 30 min early bc it was "still being cleaned." Couldn't tell it had been cleaned at all. Room size was nice, but would not stay again.

The room is old and not like the picture online. The sofa bed is worn and needs to be replaced. New TV's are needed. The workout room was just okay and the pool was not open during the reported time. The carpet also needs to be replaced. It is a nice roomy place but it needs some attention as far as updates to furniture and window treatments. The staff was willing to work with you.

The rooms were nice, and well priced, we were 30+ minutes out of Memphis, sort of country. The toilet in one room rocked and leaked, we never got that fixed, and there was no wifi. So -- great price, nice ambiance, kind of run down rooms.

Girls weekend away.
At check in we received a traditional key for our room which I thought was odd. Upon ariving at our room we found out that the card entry didn't work and we had been given a key to a 'Master' dead bolt lock. This made me insecure about the ability for someone else to have copied this key and could have access to our room and even us when we were sleeping. When we entered the room the a/c was turned off so we turned it on and waited for the room to cool. An hour and a half later it was still 78 so we tried to call the front desk but the phone didn't work. We therefore had to walk back to the front desk where the clerk told us that she had a fan if we would like to use it. We refused the fan and asked that someone take a look at the a/c unit and we were then informend that the room next to ours shared the same a/c and their's had to be turned on for ours to work. She said we could knock on their door and ask them to turn it on. We were able to talk her into doing it, which she agreed to do. 20 minutes later when both rooms were on it was still 77 in our room. We asked for a different room and we were moved and the air did work however the following morning when we woke up the coffee pot didn't. It was one thing after another with this weekend stay.

20th Century Experience in the 21st Century...
Very disappointed. NO WIFI. BAD CABLE SERVICE. NO PHONE. No working DVD player. Wore out furniture and bedding. Broken cd player. Non working hot tub, pool. On site arcade was collection of board games. KID YOU NOT! No iron. Room was decorated in peach motivation from late 1980s. Fountain in front of office was drained and hadn't worked in years. Staff was trying, but it was obvious that Westgate is either broke or beyond horribly mismanaged. We won't ever be back.

unhappy stay
low rating on some because noise level us off the roof. I asked to move my room was turned down at first. Then later after telling front desk there was loud music and a party going on I clearly read a sign at the door stating no party in rooms.My room was change but still near the noise. later that night police was called because of the disturbance.

A nice walk to the casino's.
I was there for ten days and had a great time. The rooms were quiet and comfortable. The only problem I had was the heating element went out in the clothes dryer in the room. After telling the staff, they let me use the hotel dryer for the remainder of my stay. When I head back to mississippi, I will stay there again!

Nice big kitchen, but the bathroom was small.

Bug infestation
My stay wasn't horrible but I will never stay at Westgate. First, when I arrived they didn't have my reservation and I had to contact Hotels.com twice because Westgate couldn't pull up my reservation. Next, there were a lot of bugs in the room. There were a lot of dead bugs so I didn't think too much about it because they were dead. But later in the night, there seemed to be multiple ladybugs coming out from the vents. I killed quite a bit before I realized that I couldn't stay in this room. I tried to contact the number provided in the room and no one answered and I couldn't leave a message (as was told to me by the front desk). Now, I am going through a battle with the hotel to get my money back from the remainder of the nights that I didn't stay at the hotel because of bugs. I have been trying to get in contact with corporate office but no one will give me the correct information. The manager makes it seem like it is my fault they have bugs and refuses to return my phone calls. Also, it looked like no one actually cleans the rooms. If you look in the corners of the walls and windows, there is dirt, dead bugs, and spider webs. It was not worth the money. Please look somewhere else before deciding to stay at this hotel.

Never Again!
The Supervisor Rasheda of this hotel was VERY RUDE and condescending! We booked our hotel through hotels.com. However, when we got there, we were informed "We don't have a reservation for you. When my reservation and confirmation of payment was in my hand. I was told (VERY Rudely) "You need to call them"! Meaning (Hotels.com) Customer service is truly a lost art! Also, the room smelled and was very outdated! I will never stay at that hotel EVER AGAIN!

Very dirty
First we got there and the first room smell of cigarette smoke so bad. The staff moved us to another room and it did not smell but as other reviews stated the sheets were stained and the mattress was also stained. The room was not very clean and super dusty. We had planned a longer stay but decided to drive home. At the price we paid we should have just stayed at one of the casinos instead. Westgate should be ashamed of this property. The staff was the only good thing this place has.

Pleasantly surprised with a lovely suite.
Based on a few previously negative reviews, we were pleasantly surprised to encounter a stylishly furnished, clean, upscale suite in a smaller time share-like setting conveniently located close to casinos and local events. My only negative comment would be upon our late arrival, previously announced, we found our apt. door locked with 2 un-keyed locks and only one key. Luckily, there was an attendant present to help us by running to another building to retrieve a second key to unlock our door......a minor inconvenience but a potentially major issue for stranded guests.

Could have been better
Surprised my wife for her birthday got to the room she loved the way it look we got in for about 2min and noticed it had a bad odor and went to try to crack the window a little bit and the blinds wouldn't open had to turn blinds with hand went into the bed room and pulled sheets back and the sheets and covers had stains on them,looked in closet and seen dirty linen in there went to the office to explain my problems to the lady on duty and she told us we would have to wait to the morning till the manager comes in so we had to leave the resort to drive to the store to buy candles and airfreshner for smell and had to leave patio door open all night.my wife loved the place just wished it was a little better upkeep than it was but will give then another chance

Going to the casino area Westgate was GREAT!
We were surprised when we got to Westgate, it was so much more than we expected. It was more like a condo than a hotel room. Will defiantly stay there again next time we go to Tunica.

Borderline Good!
The attendant was very friendly and met all our needs. Thank you Cierra.The room itself need only two changes.(1)The window blinds. They look good but does not close properly. Outsiders can see very well into your bedroom and living room. Suggestion-Replace with curtains. The bedroom tv. Get a flat screen. They are as cheap as the antique tv already there.

Will not be staying here again!
When we first arrived for check-in, there was no one at the front desk, no sign saying will return soon or anything so we waited. Luckily another guest came to check in and new someone who worked there who he called. The room had a nice big jacuzzi tub but had no stopper. When I asked for one, she said she would look for one but never got back with me about it. The rooms aren't cleaned on a daily basis. If you want fresh towels, you have to take your own dirty towels to he front desk for replacements. The only good thing about this stay was the room itself was very nice (even thought the tv was not a flat screen). Will NOT be staying here again!

heated not happy
when i got their i almost got charge for my room that i paid for in full. they took a 50 dollar deposit that i havent got back yet. the covers had dried blood stains. plus when i didnt make it their by 4 i got a call seeing if i was a real person cause of my name. ididnt like that why would somebody pay in full if they wasnt real.
