"Great place to stay, very close to food trucks, restaurants, shops and the lake front.
Staff were all friendly, you have use of a sitting room and a dining room. I had breakfast, for $20 a good serve of scrambled eggs with delicious bacon and a continental breakfast included.

"Haka Hotel Wanaka -A very nice place to stay. A summary:
- Pre-arrival contact: We were contacted before our arrival to confirm the booking, etc.;
- Parking: Parking is available at the hotel for guests, but may be limited. Check with hotel when booking.
- Check-in: Check-in was very efficient and helpful;.
- Room readiness: The room was ready and very well presented.
- Bathroom + toiletries: the bathroom was very clean and the toiletries were very nice;
- Storage/cupboards: There was clothes hanging space and drawers.
- Tea and coffee making: There was tea and coffee making and a small refrigerator.
- Bed: The bed was very nice to sleep in.
- Pillows: There were 2 pillows per person.
- Locality/restaurants/shops: The location is very central and there were many restaurants, cafe's, shops and convenience stores within walking distance. The main shopping, area of the city is also within walking distance.
- Hotel dining - no dining is available in-house.
- Laundry for guests: there is a laundry but note it is credit card use only, no coin operation.
