Snorkel just steps from your door, kayak along the coastline, or lounge in the infinity pool with the Caribbean Sea stretching out before you. THE SPACE The open-concept main level is designed for seamless indoor-outdoor living. Vaulted ceilings, warm wood finishes, and sliding doors flood the space with natural light and open directly onto a spacious wraparound deck. With ample outdoor seating and views that never get old, the deck is ideal for morning coffee with the sunrise over the sea, or evening cocktails with the sound of waves. A shaded outdoor dining area and BBQ make it just as inviting for long lunches as it is for grilled dinners with friends and family. This is island living at its best. Inside, the fully equipped kitchen features granite countertops and a breakfast bar, perfect for everything from a quick island-style breakfast to a full home-cooked meal. The master suite, also on the upper level, is a peaceful retreat with an en-suite bath and incredible ocean views. On the lower level, three additional bedrooms offer a quiet escape. Two feature double beds, and one includes a queen bed with its own en-suite bathroom—ideal for families or groups traveling together. A second full bathroom, kitchenette, and laundry area on the lower floor add convenience and privacy for longer stays. But it’s the outdoor spaces that truly set Coral Beach Retreat apart. The private sandy beach is a sun-warmed sanctuary, complete with a shaded palapa and hammocks for lazy afternoons. Snorkeling and kayaking are excellent when sea conditions allow, with vibrant marine life just offshore. The property also includes the lush adjacent lot, with walking paths winding through tropical foliage, offering even more space to relax, explore, and reconnect with nature. Though Coral Beach Retreat feels wonderfully secluded, you're just a short drive from French Harbour's restaurants, grocery stores, and island adventures. Ideal as both a peaceful escape and the perfect spot to connect with loved ones, this tropical retreat offers the best of Roatan—comfort, charm, and that undeniable magic of the Caribbean. GUEST ACCESS Your reservation at Coral Beach Retreat grants you exclusive access to the entire residence and its grounds. From the moment you arrive until your departure, the amenities at this seaside retreat are yours to enjoy. A short walk down the lane leads you to the shared community dock, where you’ll have access to additional snorkelling opportunities in the lagoon. Be sure to pack your snorkel gear and water shoes, as crystal-clear waters, tropical marine life, and vibrant coral reefs await your exploration. Exclusions: Please note that there is a small casita near the entrance of the property that is reserved for occasional use by the owners' family. It’s never occupied during guest stays, and you’ll have full, private access to the main house, pool, beach, and surrounding grounds during your visit. Privacy and Exclusivity: While you may see our property manager, groundskeeper, or other staff on the premises, we believe in providing you with the utmost privacy and exclusivity during your stay. THE NEIGHBOURHOOD Coral Beach Retreat is located in lower First Bight, a quiet, residential area on Roatan’s south shore, a little east of French Harbour. It’s a peaceful part of the island that feels off the beaten path—perfect for travelers looking to relax in nature and escape the crowds. As the neighborhood enjoys steady trade winds, First Bight isn’t known for calm, glassy waters, but on clear days the snorkeling can be spectacular, and the open sea views are always stunning. It’s a great place to soak up the natural beauty of Roatan and watch the colors of the sea change throughout the day. Despite its tranquil setting, Coral Beach Retreat is only a 15-minute drive to French Harbour, where you’ll find grocery stores, banks, and pharmacies, as well as a handful of restaurants and attractions. Getting Around Complimentary onsite parking is available, and a rental vehicle is recommended if you plan to venture out to explore the island. Most of Coco Road (aka. First Bight Road) is unpaved, so while it's possible to drive the road in a small car, most of our guests prefer having a larger vehicle. During our rainy season, 4-wheel drive is strongly recommended. OTHER THINGS TO NOTE: Electricity & Water Conservation Electricity on the island is private, which results in higher costs. Additionally, water is a valuable commodity. We kindly ask for your cooperation in conserving these resources during your stay. Remember to turn off the air conditioning in spaces when you're not using them, or if you have doors or windows open, to ensure efficient usage. Please note that if the air conditioning remains continuously on during your stay, there may be additional charges applied. Internet Outages Due to the island's infrastructure, internet outages may occur unexpectedly. These do not occur frequently and are usually brief, however it is unfortunately impossible to guarantee uninterrupted service. Power outages may also occur, however the property has a dedicated backup generator to ensure continuous energy supply. Housekeeping Service The one-time cleaning fee which applies to your prepaid reservation total covers having our housekeeper clean and prepare the villa prior to your check-in, as well as after your checkout. If you’d like additional cleaning service during your stay, this can be arranged for an additional fee. Pets First Bight is a pet-friendly neighborhood, and your pet is more than welcome to join you during your stay at our property. The manager, Dave, lives just across the street and ensures your state is great from start to finish. Even little touches like lending me baking powder and getting me some green coconuts from the neighbors. The house in setting is even better than the pictures and there's beautiful snorkeling right from your back doorstep. The layout of the house was perfect for us because the adults were upstairs in the master suite and our kids had their own quarters and bedrooms downstairs. Should probably be noted that if you had several adult couples traveling together rather than a family with children, the upstairs bedroom is much more desirable than downstairs, but the downstairs was still clean and roomy, had two bathrooms, and the kids absolutely loved it. We really could not have been much happier with our accommodations and stay and hope to go again in the future. ##### JUSTIN D. The property manager was so attentive and responsive very helpful. The property is beautiful is like you are in your own little world. Enough space for everyone, clean, had everything you needed. The pool was clean and nice to dip in at anytime of the day. The only thing that I would suggest is changing the downstairs mattresses they a bit uncomfortable to sleep in, but other than that it was a beautiful place and we enjoyed every minute of it. The house was great (comfortable beds, great AC, stocked kitchen), but the property and location was really the best part. Our kids loved the colorful lights that in the pool at night, and we couldn't get over seeing caribbean reef octopuses a few yards off of the beach most evenings ! the snorkeling right off the property was phenomenal too (we saw a nurse shark, sting ray, lobster, eel, and lots of fish), and the dock at the end of the road made for great splashes and potential turtle feeding sightings. The location was a close enough drive to tons of great outings, beaches, and a couple of restaurants, and Dave the property manager was phenomenal - extremely helpful, responsive, and respectful of our time. ##### Talia C. Every time we need him,he was there, always very fast!! The house is great and comfortable! The only thing was the weather... in January rains a lot!!!! The house was clean and the location was right on the water with the reef within easy swimming distance. Kayaks were available and a large bay within an easy paddle. Lots of sea life to observe. Frank and Susan were great hosts and helped us with anything we needed. Adelberto lives on the property and looks after things, he is very helpful but only speaks Spanish. You will want to rent a sturdy car as the roads in Roatan are not in good repair. Keep in mind you are on a remote island and may not have all the amenities of a Sandals resort. If you like a little adventure while on vacation, This is a fun place to stay. ##### Cindy I. There is no better bargain. The property has four bedrooms; two of them with their own private bathroom. A washer and dryer. Full kitchen. Snorkeling supplies. Kayak. And best of all, infiniti edge pool. Yes, things could be updated but EVERYTHING is in good shape. If you want perfect finishes, plan to pay 2-3x more for a different house. Frank, the point person on the island had great communication and was responsive to every need. Likely not our last visit to Beach House! ##### Lance W. This is not our first time staying down in the area, but is our first time renting this fantastic large home. The location is out of the way but close to the action if that is what you wish for. Views from the deck are nothing but beautiful Caribbean sea! The house is large and suited to accommodate bigger parties, in our case however it was just the two of us. All in all great experience from reservation to Frank (the property manager) and Aberto (the onsite caretaker). Of note, I would recommend a vehicle and an SUV or small truck. The road in can be rough as it is graded only a couple of times per year. Besides you will want to explore the island as well. Enjoy! ##### Ron D. Séjour de 7 nuits en octobre 2017 ### 8/10 – Bien #### Mellissa S., Highland Mills, New York 14 juill. 2017 #### Beautiful views in a comfortable setting! This is a great property and the location is incredible for snorkeling (if the ocean is calm enough) and enjoying the views on the beautiful porch. Our favorite spot in the mornings and evenings was the hammock swings! The kitchen was well stocked with everything you'll need to cook your meals and the main living areas were comfortable. The master bedroom was nice and the king size bed was super comfy. The bathroom was adequate with a large walk in shower. The other three bedrooms and baths were in the basement and it was moldy smelling and dark down there so our son chose to sleep on the couch. There is plenty of space, it just wasn't very inviting if I'm being honest. There was a rooster that woke us up constantly by crowing all night long outside the bedroom window. It helped if the AC was running but we could still hear it and it was maddening - we did tell the property manager Mac when we left and he said he'd try to take care of it. Mac was great - he met us at the airport, took us to the grocery store and got us set up at the house - then we had cell phones with his number preprogrammed into them so if there were any problems we could call him right away. The road to the house is pretty rough so if you're renting a car I recommend an SUV so you don't bottom out - but it's not critical, you'll still get there but it's a bumpy ride. The space is very private, which we loved, and Alberto (who only speaks Spanish) is a constant friendly presence in the caretakers cottage which made us feel extra safe. Overall we loved our stay at the Coral Beach House and plan to return in a few months! ##### Mellissa S.
