### Añoranza Casita 1 + Plunge Pool

Añoranza's oceanfront Casita was finished May 2021 and offers a king bed, full kitchen, living room, and 2 person shower, along with an oversized patio and plunge pool. The casita can also be booked with our Villa and/or our Casita 2 and 3 if you need more room.  
If you’re looking for a true Caribbean island experience, Añoranza is the place for you. If you are looking for a place like Cabo or Tulum, we’re not the destination for you. Leave your designer bags, shoes, jewelry, and clothes at home. All you need to pack are swimsuits, cover-ups, rash guards and flip flops.  
Also, if you are looking for nightlife, we recommend booking in West End or one of the destinations mentioned above. Don’t get us wrong, we love Cabo and Tulum but we don’t come to the east side of Roatán for that experience. There are no restaurants within walking distance but you can kayak to a few restaurants or drive 5 minutes to the villages of Oakridge or Punta Gorda to get authentic Caribbean island food. If you don’t want to leave Añoranza we offer full size kitchens for you to cook or hire our private chef to cook.  
  
The oceanfront Casita is located next to our Villa and offers guests an open concept king size bed, living room, and full kitchen area. The kitchen has a gas range, dishwasher, fridge, coffee maker, blender and all cooking appliances and utensils you should need. If you decide you do not want to cook, we can set up our personal chef, Dalia, for one special meal or your entire stay. It also has a UV filter for the entire Casita and a reverse osmosis system at the kitchen sink so you can drink the water and brush your teeth with it. The living room has a custom built couch that is also a daybed so you can curl up and watch TV, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+ or a movie on our smart TV. Unfortunately, Hulu is not available in Honduras but you can get Hulu through the Disney+ App. There is also a Sonos speaker that you can connect your phone to and play music. Make sure you have music downloaded or a Spotify account because Pandora is not available in Honduras.  
Just off the king bedroom area is the bathroom with double vanity and a shower with two shower heads. You'll love the view from the shower. There is also a washer and dryer in the closet for guests to use but, we do not provide laundry detergent. Most of our guests just bring a few pods or buy some at the grocery store, Eldon's, on the way to Añoranza. A few steps from the bed are sliding doors that open to an oversized patio with 2 chairs, a table, and a hammock. But the best part is the plunge pool so you can decide if you will be watching sunsets from the pool, the hammock or a chair.  
The stairway to the water is shared with the guests staying at the Villa and/or Casita 2 and Casita 3 (if booked) and navigates down a cliff and through the trees. There are 4 landings with benches on the way down where you can stop and take in the view or a sunset. Once you are at the water you will see how clear the water is and can enjoy the sun and sunsets on our dock. There is also great snorkeling from the dock around the small reef at the end of the dock. Also, you can take one of our 4 complimentary, 2 person, kayaks to explore the reef, mangroves or head over to Punta Gorda to grab a drink or food. We have 2 stand up paddle boards that can be rented for $10 a day each.  
Matt and Dalia, your host and concierge before and during your stay can help book anything from excursions, dinners reservations, car rentals, or even a babysitter. Dalia is also our private chef so you can book her for your entire stay or a special meal. Matt or Dalia can meet you at the airport too if you would like for an additional fee. Dalia lives on property  
Finally, there are a lot of steps on property so Añoranza is not ideal for anyone who cannot manage a lot of steps

#### We found paradise at Anoranza!

We had an amazing stay at Anoranza! The pictures really don’t do this place justice…the house, property and view are gorgeous and definitely surpassed our expectations! Everything was spotless upon our arrival and the house was equipped with everything we needed. Robert was there to greet us and answered all of our questions along the way. We had Dalia cook for us a few times throughout our stay and all the food she prepared for us was exceptional! I will say that Anoranza is off the beaten path on the quieter east side of the island, so you definitely need to rent a car if you plan on staying here and venturing out to do things, but there are lots of amazing activities to do and great little restaurants within a 20 minute drive and it is a really great way to explore all the island has to offer. If you’re thinking about going to Roatan, definitely go and stay at Anoranza! Whether you stay in the main villa or the little casita, both are truly spectacular and you won’t regret it!

#### Quiet getaway with Amazing views!

My husband and I stayed in the casita for a babymoon and had the most amazing time! The owners are so nice, the property is immaculate and Robert the host was responsive and very helpful! Things to consider; this property is on a hill in order to have this beautiful view so there are a LOT of stairs. But if you make the trek down to the water, which is even more stairs, there are little landings right where a pregnant momma needed them! We went during off season so the whole island felt quiet and peaceful. Lots of restaurants are closed during off season so you will want to be patient finding one or get some kind of groceries/snacks or take the host's up on their offer for a private chef to come cook for you for a fee. Once you book you'll get an extremely thorough and super helpful email from the owners. We can't wait to go back and stay longer. Maybe next time we'll bring some friends and stay in the villa 😍
