No me gusto que no hay servicio a cuarto, nos movieron al hotel aspira y los de recepción eran muy desagradables con los huéspedes

No water un shower...

Nice aND big rooms...good security.....the rooms need more mantenance...frondesk staff are rude

Decent hotel on a budget

Pros: The size and layout of the hotel room. Very spacious. Great balcony.
Cons: The beds could be more comfortable, and proper pillows could be provided. The ones in the room looked and felt like sofa cushions.
Location: Great location. It's in the heart of downtown Playa del Carmen. It's just off 5th Avenue, which gives you access to everything.
My friends and I stayed at Hotel Tukan & Beach Club in early January 2017. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were pleasantly surprised with the size of our room. There were 4 of us staying together and the hotel room we received had 2 bedrooms (one large room with a king size bed and access to a gorgeous balcony with a great view, and another room with 2 double beds) and a large common area with a couch. AC in each room. The space was clean. It was nothing fancy, but that was fine with us. The only downside was that the beds were very uncomfortable. They were hard as rocks and the pillows provided looked more like sofa cushions. The cleaning staff often forgot to provide toilet paper and towels, but the front desk staff happily provided these when we asked. Overall, it was a good experience. It's a decent hotel for the price.

LA MAS DECEPCIONANTE ESTADIA

Cons: PRIMERO AL PERSONAL DE RECEPCION QUE SON LA ENTRADA A LAS INSTALACIONES, QUE LOS CAPACITEN PARA DAR UN TRATO MEJOR
Al entrar y decir que tenía una reservación bien, al saber en recepción que tipo de reservación era, empezó la tragedia, nunca me dijeron que si mi reserva solo contemplaba la habitación mi estancia sería terrible y decepcionante, ya que se eligió el hotel sin saber que tenían otras habitaciones en un edificio aparte y con unas instalaciones deplorables. Que triste que Expedia tenga tratos con estas personas o no nos hayan dicho que se requiere hacer una reservación plus para que el trato sea diferente.

good location but that's it

Pros: location
Cons: Everything: water leakage, humidity, running water and room service.
Location: close to everything.
This is close to everything but did not have a pleasant stay. There was a water leakage in the shower which was reported and never fixed. Water from the sink was salty. I had to buy drinkable water to brush my teeth. The room was not comfortable and it had an unpleasant smell. I was expecting more for the money I paid.

Nice setting in middle of excitement

My shower leaked alll over my floor but they came to fix it immediately. Upgrade offered upon check in.

Hotel aceptable para su precio

No es un excelente hotel pero ciertamente no está mal para su costo. El agua de la llave sabe fuertemente a sal y no proporcionan agua embotellada.

Hotel sobre zona quinta avenida

Al hacer check in nos ofrecieron upgrade por dinero adicional. La habitación original olía a humedad. El desayuno estuvo bueno por el precio. La ubicación es buena, al hotel le falta mantenimiento. El personal de recepción fue amable.

Horrible hotel close to the beach.

Pictures on Expedia very misleading. The hotel is very, very old. Our mattress was hard, cable in our room didn't work (staff said sorry but never fixed it). No wash clothes & towels were old, stained & tattered. Our ac was from the 50's & it appeared there was mold around it. We didn't have water for at least 12 hrs. Very disappointed!!

Cheap and does the job, close to everything

Pros: Close, cheap
Cons: Smelly, cleanliness
Location: It's literally 1 minute from the 5th street wherr everything is and 5 minutes from the beach. Maybe a 10-15 minute walk to the ferry port
Not workd class but ok. They told me they have some maintenance work and sent me to their sister hotel. The room was smelly always because of something stinking through the gutters in the toilet. They never changed the bed sheets and did not replace the shampoo/soap. The hotel is in a great location walking distance to everything including the beautiful sandy beach. Which also means that you can hear the music from the streets and bars all night long in your room. Staff were friendly and nice to chat to.
