The reviews will tell you that it’s loud late into the night (2am) but just how loud?
Here I wanted to provide a more thorough description. First, the noise is a blaring, powerful, disharmony of 2-3 tracks being played over each other without pause until 2am. The noise rattles the delicate windows and can be felt vibrating intensely by the hand. The noise permeates your body and shakes your voice. I saw a screw vibrate loose and fall to the floor in the early night. Ear plugs reduce the sound to safe levels (to approximately the level of a lively conversation in a small room), but hearing protection (like for firearm safety) would be required to bring it to levels suitable for sleeping. Opening a window instantly brings the noise to physically intolerable levels.
The source of the noise is a club about 10yrds away with stadium grade speakers that are sadly left at heightened values to garner the illusion of an active night life wherein fact there is little to none (seemingly not a popular place, though visited occasionally throughout the night). The bottom line is that this club and this hotel just cannot coexist in such close proximity, there’s much better sleep to be had on the beach.
Other things of note, our door wouldn’t stay closed unless it was locked, which made the inconvenience of having just one key worse since one of your party needs to be acting doorman for all the guests staying in the room.
Tiny dim blue fluorescent lights.
The sink didn’t drain.
