Staff were amazing

Can't say enough good things about our stay. First being personally greeted by the manager at at check in to our amazing room with ocean front view. The grounds were impeccable and so much wildlife to see. The buffets were so so but the dinner options more than made up for it. The bar staff were all so friendly and had drinks made before we even asked, and thank you for the surprise bottle of champagne on our last night!

Wish the food was good

Love love the beach, staff, room, music!!! Drinks and food were hard for me to enjoy... maybe ask for some recipes from the folks in Cozumel. Missed Rastas coconut shrimp, everyone's paella, and ceviche :.(

Paradise for Spring Break!

Pros: Plenty to do, the grounds and lobbies are beautiful, the beach has plenty of shade, chairs and wifi service in some areas.
Cons: Guests reserve the lounge chairs early and tend to not use them during the day. Bring a power strip to charge devices. Very limited outlets in room.
Location: Various tours available, but so much to do onsite that it is not necessary to leave the resort.
From the time we walked in it was clear that this was a special place! We were pleasantly surprised by the setting and natural jungle surrounding the facilities. The staff was very pleasant and always willing to help. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. The photos in Expedia didn't do it justice! It is beautiful and so much more than expected. Be prepared to walk while on site due to the expansive area of this resort. A shuttle service is available if preferred. The amount of activities and entertainment can keep anyone busy with tons to do. The pools are massive, so it doesn't feel over crowded. We enjoyed the variety of offerings in dining options including buffet and a-la-carte.

Vacation in Grand Palladium Rivera Maya

Pros: Friendly staff, good beach, a lot of restaurant and bars, good location and a lot of space
Cons: SPA - unfortunately we cannot tell that we were happy in the spa. Probably all showers have broken parts. Sometimes it could be very noisy.
Accommodation- the rooms are big enough with glass door to terrace, efficient but sometimes noisy AC, clean bath with relatively new plumbing, safe, TV, refrigerator with water, soda and beer; coffee machine and portable scale for daily checkup. The servants are polite and not visible. What is very important- the buildings are located in quiet and green part of the resort. Food and Restaurants- Resort has around 8 restaurants and the guests have access practically to all of them. The Restaurants have different design and they serve different food. Usually they have great salad bar and huge chose of wines. We were several times in Italian restaurant, service and food were perfect. My wife several times ordered fish in restaurant on the beach and it was good. I preferred “Don Pedro” and I was happy always. There are several big buffers, where the vacationers can take breakfast or dinner. There is everything what you can wish or expect. Service is good, tables is clean, the managers follow everybody to the table and guests do not need to share the table with other guests. It is very convenient and I like it.

The facility is very nice. The grounds are beautiful. Food is just ok. Staff are wonderful but some lack even basic Language skills.

Enjoyed the sun and the pool

Pros: The pool and pool chairs.
The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our time at the pool. The evening restaurants were good and the buffets for lunch and breakfast provided something for everybody.

I have been to Mexico all inclusive hotels 4 times prior. This was by far the best value. The food was EXCELLENT, the staff were very friendly and the entire resort was clean. They truly care about their customers. I was blown away about how great the resort was. There is a lot to do there as far as free activities. I was only disappointed about when I reserved a massage and went to cancel it 24 hours in advance because we got sun burnt and didn't want to do it. The spa told me that I would be charged 50% cancellation fee because I booked it during their promotion. I did leave a note for the hotel manager that I was upset about it and they didn't charge me for it. They do stock your fridge with beer and water and soda every day for free but we had to request it because they didn't automatically do it like we had thought.

Beautiful, peaceful and friendly

Pros: the location, the weather and the food.
Cons: I would like more beer choices. I was a bit disappointed that there was only 2 draft beers available for guest unless you were a "Royal Suites" guest
The resort was a thing of beauty. All of the staff was courteous and friendly. The food at the buffets and restaurants was more than we expected. I would compare the buffets to that of cruise ship buffets. The pools were gorgeous and the beach was simply amazing. We were slightly upset that we paid full price for our 13 year old daughter, and then found that each night there was a restaurant that did not allow "children". I understand they have adults only nights at some of the restaurants..... but I did have to pay full price for her. It seemed my daughter's manners were better than that of some adults who had to much alcohol. I would love to come back to this resort! We really enjoyed our time and would love to return some day soon.

Decent resort but rooms need updating.

It's a huge resort. We were on the very far end in Kantenah, a villa right off of the beach. Unfortunately not many rooms offer good views, only our side window could you see the beach from. Our room smelled really musty, we opened all our windows/doors and put the air on consistently and by day 2 the smell was thankfully gone. The furniture is dated, our cabinet with fridge wouldn't close, drapes were really hard to pull open, if they opened at all (many were ripped at the top as clearly others had the same problem). But the room was clean, bed was comfortable, and bathroom was a good size. We used the outdoor shower only as there is really no way to shower inside as there is no wall or curtain for the tub shower. But that was fine, weather was warm and even if it rained it didn't infringe on the shower area. The beach is beautiful, but areas can get really rocky with windy weather/big waves, nothing the resort can control, but when the rocks aren't bad it's amazing! The pools are really nice, clean, and plenplentyty of room! There's only one place that I was aware of on the Kantenah/Colonel side to return beach towels which wasn't very convenient but not the end of the world. Restaurants were pretty typical of resort foods. They had great fresh fruit. One HUGE complaint, while dining in El Dorado, we saw several cockroaches on the walls, very disgusting! Thankfully we didn't see them at any other restaurant. Overall the resort is nice, great for families with small kids.
