Initially, we thought we were staying in one of the 5 lands, since the title of the property said "Riomaggiore," so don't be fooled. Once we actually got the location, we were staying in an extremely small village called "Volastra," which is directly above Manarola.
There was a shuttle bus which takes you down to Manarola where you can catch a train to the other Villages. If it wasn't for the bus, we would be stuck hiking down in bad weather. Volastra is a hub for many of the hiking paths, but we had bad weather so we did not take 100% advantage of this. If you're a hiking, definitely stay here!
The property itself was nice, homey and well maintained. The breakfast was extremely lacking, seeing as Canadians don't normally have a piece of bread for breakfast or a croissant. More variety to be improved!
Other than that, the view on the patio from breakfast was amazing and beautiful.
