If you are staying one night, then. it's fine. Lobby is updated, when you go to the room, you are back into 1980, wall paper is peeling off the walls in 4 places, seriously they can use glue ,my room #215. FREE breakfast was fine. Sleep eat and leave

Hotel was average at the best. Location semi good. Amenities nothing special. Staff barely spoke English. Room wasn’t the cleanest and bed was not comfortable. Overall not the best experience.

The internet strength was frustrating essentially when trying to book activities and the internet dropped. Also, one evening after a drink on the rooftop terrace, we were disturbed around 10 p.m. by staff needing us to resign for our drinks because of a "system" issue. We were woken. Why this couldn't wait untill morning is beyond us. Anyways, it was rude and annoying. The terrace was nice

Dated property and uncomfortable bed. Area is pretty desirable however can be a bit unsafe late at night. Close to the beach and staff is nice. I do wish I had spent more to stay somewhere else though because the bed was very uncomfortable. My partner and I are in our early thirties and it was tough for us.

This is not a four star hotel. Do not spend your money here. Most of the staff is wonderful, friendly, and helpful, but management is horrible, rude, and unprofessional. The facilities are old—pealing wallpaper, moldy bathrooms and roaches ….

Pros and cons to this hotel. Not quite sure how I feel about it. For the right price (much much less than I paid this libertadores weekend) I'd stay again cause it was clean and comfortable, room was large and staff was great, but I wonder if there are better options out there for a similar price....Anyway: Pros: Staff is very friendly and helpful. Was truly the saving grace here. Willing to help at all costs despite some issues (they didn't find my reservations, A/C wasn't working, etc). They took great safety measures (stayed during Libertadores weekend and it's kind of chaotic, they made sure we were taken care of regardless of where we were). Rooms were very clean. Cons: It's in a convenient area with lots of stuff around (few blocks to the beach in Copacabana) but at the same time doesn't feel the safest at night (though tbh only the ones on the beach feel better). The hotel is OLD needs some SERIOUS renovation. For the price that I paid for this weekend it needs some serious upgrades not worth the $$$$. Only benefit of an older hotel was that the room was quite large. Windows definitely let a lot of noise in (they also put me on the 2nd floor after I requested to be on a higher months before, so that's a given). Sheets used on the bed wasn't a fitted sheet, so as you move at night it undoes from the corners and you end up sleeping on the actual mattress.

I liked the convenient of walking to the store, beach and the street market. They also had security at the door at night.

I really enjoyed staying at Hotel. The hotel is located in a safe quiet neighborhood. The staffs here are so friendly, responsible, hardworking, accountable, dedicated, determined, well mannered, and caring. The room was really clean, modern, and artistic. The restaurant in the hotel has delicious food and exquisite cocktails.

I think it is a budget hotel, the shower near sauna was not working. The overall upkeep of the property is not great. They do not allow any guests in the room.

Great location, two blocks from Copacabana beach. Huge breakfast. Try the soup for dinner, great flavors. Waitress are so nice. Rooms with all the needs all days were clean up.

Mixed feelings
This is 2023, going to Rio with my family after long time of pandemic. I have mixed feelings about my stay; some of the personal were very friendly and performed a superb service – e.g. valet drivers, cleaning lady, waiters. The breakfast was very rich in options and taste, with a few exceptions (bacon was OK). There is a lady at the door checking if the guests are taking food off the breakfast area. The room was small – when one person was standing between the bed and the small table, the other person could not cross to the other side of the room. There was no microwave or coffee machine; only a frigobar. Bed was clean and comfortable; tiny bathroom (no bath). The service desk was not well prepared nor professional at times. I saw 2 men complaining about work/workers in front of the customers. I had requested 2 rooms interconnected 3 months ahead (and again 2 weeks ahead) and their response was it had to be done on arrival upon availability. Upon arrival I was told it had to be reserved previously. (>_<) The small gym equipments were few, old, some were not working and their AC unit didn't work. I went to the bar (close to the gym) to request for maintenance and had an employee displeased into helping me to get the equipment working. The pool area had a nice view, although the water was not heated and it's a chilly windy area between a mountain and the shore. Parking was expensive, but always available. The distance to the beach is not the best for family with small kids.
