The service is 5 star and the restaurant food, atmosphere is amazing. In the early evening they had a live piano player. The food is excellent and security is great and location. One my best stays at a 5 star hotel.
Very well kept hotel, nice entrance atmosphere if you like classical hotel entrances. Modern rooms; only complaint (minor) the shower is placed at the corner of the bathtub for no apparent reason, resulting in an awkward showering position. Staff polite and helpful, good spoken English; only complaint: when I went for breakfast in the morning, having already been informed I had to pay for it, I faced an aggressive staff member who told me "you have not paid for breakfast". A better way to address a customer would be for instance to say:"good morning sir, how would you like to settle your breakfast fee?"
Otherwise all else OK.
The menu selections and quality of food are much reduced from previous stays there. The beds are very dense and hard. Low profile and not as modern type bedding. The king is actually two singles close together with the seam in the center. I noticed the security persons harassing females in the lobby along with registered guests.

The room was very small, and the bathroom was even smaller, but I only wanted a place to sleep for 1 night until my flight the following morning. The lobby and reception was good. Transfer service to airport in the morning was also good. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for taxi service from train station to hotel. The hotel looked to be very close to train station on web site, but I was charged 500 UAH for what should have been a short drive, but ended up being a suspiciously long route through the city. Not the fault of the hotel, but travellers should be aware that taxi drivers will try to pad the fare.
Check in was easy and pleasant, hotel is ideally situated for what we intended, partying and a chernobyl tour, so I can't comment on the breakfasts...
We walked everyday down town for lunch and beers with no problem.
Rooms were aged but to be honest we only used them to rest our heads. Pretty basic and traditional decor but served our purpose
"Visit to Kiev to watch Champions League Football"
A very pleasant hotel, centrally located and easy to walk or catch public transport to most of the major sights of the city. the staff were very helpful particularly arranging transport to and from the airport. They spoke acceptable English and assisted it making our stay very comfortable. The hotel restaurant was disappointing in comparison to other services of the hotel but they did provided a very good breakfast that was included within the cost of our stay. We would recommend the hotel and would certainly stay again if we visited Kiev in the future.

The Right Bank of Kiev's Dnipro River houses most of the city's historical landmarks. Wandering its tree-lined boulevards and parks will bring visitors to the imposing Monastery of the Caves, St. Sophia Cathedral and Museum of the Great Patriotic War. The historic and vibrant Andriyivskyy Descent is not to be missed, and Independence Square with its cafes and bars is the place to start the evening.
