The staff were wonderful and helpful. The breakfast was good. The cleanliness of the sheets and mattress was atrocious. Vile stains on the mattress which was not covered by the sheets as they were too small to fit over the entire bed. Totally unacceptable.

Breakfast included was excellent. Room was nice, but loud street noise is an issue, and window lock was broken. Location is excellent. Front desk was not very helpful generally.

Location, location, location!
Location is the BEST ! The room was spacious and quiet after 11:00 p.m. The minus was that there was NO breakfast at first morning although it was included in our reservation.The receptionist said that it is impossible to call to the manager or owner and fix it because they do not not work on weekends . The Wi-Afi was not working for 3 days. The closet doors’ve been stuck.Then in 3 days a man from owner’s family came and fixed everything at once . The breakfast was good later on. Suggestion: Be aware that the bathroom floor is very slippery when it’s wet and protect yourself.Yandex taxi cost 2.1 E . Hotel taxi 10.0 E

The location in the Old Town could not be bettered: the historical sites, any number of restaurants, bars, shops, the theatres and cinemas, modern well-equipped (and reasonably priced) gym are all within a very few minutes’ walk. The hotel is easily accessible from the airport by service bus (service no. 22, €1.15), and a just few minutes on foot from the railway station. The hotel is modern and stylish. The staff helpful and organised. Breakfasts offer good choice. Curiously there was no phone in my room though there seemed to be a socket. Perhaps I should have asked about it.

Hotellets personale er meget serviceminded og værelserne i top. Ligger lige i centrum og da det er turistområde, er der lidt støj, men ikke om natten.

The location was great and the staff are very helpful . The property however is run down and there is mould in the bathroom , the carpets have stains , the sheets were all crumpled . The shower area is pretty small . The table tops are all weathered and some of the decorative plants are dead with fully dried leaves if any . The lobby ceiling has a long lone of black duck tape . This property is overrated and I would not stay here again unless it’s fully spruced up . Also the lifts smell of cigarette smoke and the whole hotel including the room have a musty smell .

Location was great, right in the center of old Town Riga. Lots of great restaurants nearby. Our room was disappointing needed some TLC, carpet dirty, bathroom was clean and modern. Staff at breakfast, not very friendly, but otherwise food ok. But overall had a wonderful stay in Riga.!

Definitely not 5 star more like 3, breakfast shambolic at best, not always but on occasions no plates,coffee machine empty and eggs etc not being replenished. Staff attitude very poor across the board, we wont be returning

The hotel is based right in the middle of Old Town Riga and literally a 30 second walk to the House of the Blackheads, it is a great place to stay as majority of the attractions are within walking distance. Staff were great and very helpful during my time there. My room was ok but definitely needs to be updated. Breakfast was ok but if it is not already included with your package then I would not spend the money as there are plenty of options around the city for cheaper.

It was horrible, from the moment we saw the room - it smelled musty, the bad looked horrible, there was poor. In the side of bath, the shower was really random and not like a proper shower but pre mixed water, the hairdryer was from Last century and so the safe that didn’t work first so had to be fixed but like bad quality and definitely not from Last 20 years! The bed was so bad when you sleep you roll in the middle together with your partner. There was vallet service so when we parked first night we said we will pick up the car next day and use the service again once we arrive from our road trip but once we returned they said yes you can use the service but then after 10min said sorry it’s fully booked out and you should have extended for 3 nights, well if we have car where do you think we gonna park it?? And we said we will need it next day! Also when we asked were can we park they said you need to find it your self- so no help what so ever! Worst hotel ever and not sure how it can fall it self 5* as it’s 2-3*. Is there away to check it how they got the stars as I can’t believe they would be given 5???!!

THE MANAGEMENT OF THIS HOTEL SUCKS. We had our car driven to valet parking, when we got it back the car had serious damage on the back pumper and broken tail light. The driver claimed he does not know anything. I figured that the hotel management will take care of it (it was valet parking). Then the fun began: 1. I offered that they pay me for the deductible of my insurance and we are done with it. They no, because it is not their fault. 2. Then they accused me of bringing them a car that already had dents and scratches and now wanting money from them. 3. Then we went to the valet parking to see, if there was any pieces of the car there (to see if it actually happened there- the driver came with us) 4. After trying to see the surveillance footage, which was denied at first, we went back to the hotel 5. Called the manager again (she never came to the hotel)- she said after they take the car and if the make scratches on it they are not liable. After finally someone at the parking lot look at the video and said the driver who brought us the car had crashed it. Finally the driver admitted it as well and agreed to pay for the deductible. The whole thing took about 2-2,5 hours, had to involve my lawyer from Latvia and the local police. So if you do not have these kind of nerves or the time, then I would stay away from there. Because it seems this is the way of doing business there. In general the stay was good. The room was nice, location good.

The hotel is definitely not at 4 star level (it’s a 3 star at best), however it was comfortable and clean and we really enjoyed our stay in Riga. Hotel is in a great central location, although wouldn’t be suitable if you want a quiet location as we could hear music in our room from bars across road until late at night (we didn’t mind that too much). Breakfast was nice.

Nice hotel close to all the sites,room were good although we had to move from our first room as it was a little noisy for us , being at the front of the hotel, but moving rooms was not a problem. Special mention to the receptionist KATRINA. Always helpful and smiling. Nothing too much trouble for her. She is an asset to the Hotel

Good location but..
Checking in, guy on reception didn’t know what time the bar closed, it says 0100 but closed on Friday night at 1130! Breakfast adequate but not hot enough, no OJ for 2 days! Room was cold and no control over heating. Checking out, same guy wanted to charge us for car parking and we didn’t have a car!

The hotel is in the perfect location of the old town of Riga. The rooms are quite big but the beds were not comfortable at all. Breakfast was bad and the service at the restaurants were worse.

Outstanding location right in the middle of everything. Decent breakfast in a very nice-looking medieval basement. Rooms are meh, small, a single pillow, definitely not 5-star. Pleasant service staff but not enough; there was only a single employee at 2pm; no bellman, nobody. Think of it as a 4-star hotel, 3 star rooms and great location and you'll be happy.

Nice cool clean room, with a good breakfast. Motorbike parking wasn’t permitted in front of the hotel, so a car park was used half a kilometre away, we palmed the attendant to keep an eye on it.

A 3 star hotel experience.
The Hotel was shown as a five star hotel. Unfortunately this was not our experience. The key system failed almost daily. We could not get into the first room we were given; I was told that my technique was wrong three times before the staff released they could not get the room open either. The alternative room had sloped ceiling so I had to bend sideways to get into the bed on my side. The first safe would not lock. I was told my technique was wrong until the staff came and could not make it work either. The bar was not open every day and there was no kettle in the room. I was told hot water could be requested at the bar but it was not open when I asked. The ‘complimentary’ water that was advertised was not available instead bottles with €4 price tags were prominently displayed. The location in the old Town was convenient. The wi-fi worked in our room. cups were not always available at breakfast there was no-one around to ask for cups. Sometimes the fresh cold food ran out. I did not find the ‘hot food’ selection appealing. The service improved slightly over the week. Had I not paid in advance I would have moved to a different hotel.

Excellent location
Very good central position. Breakfast is disappointing and service top up slow. Very clean rooms. Good food in restaurant. Very dull and uninviting entrance. Staff not very cheerful on reception. However we would have no hesitation in staying again as the rooms are spotless.
