The property was gorgeous. It was very green and lush and quiet. The only downside was my television wasn’t working which I was looking forward to using after a long drive from New York. But besides that, the staff was friendly and the space was clean and comfortable for a night stay.

Courteous and friendly checkin and checkout Wait staff patient and accommodating to garlic allergy at the Tavern Friday night ~ burger and Reuben were delicious ! Breakfast selection was diverse and wait staff friendly and very attentive. Highly recommend ~ thanks for the memorable experience!

What a great place! The rooms are always super clean and the staff super friendly. I have to give a shout out to grace, Mike and Ashley over in the restaurant! The food is consistently amazing and perfect portions. Thanks guys I’ll see y’all soon!

Check in is too confusing as well as entrances to buildings. The phone in the room didn’t work, there was no room service menu and room service representative was a little short because she was working alone.

Check in a little difficult to find at night. Key cards didn't unlock room door. Maintenance arrived shortly to relace battery in door lock system. Very quick & responsive to solve problem.

Highly recommended for anyone traveling to Richmond but seeking to stay on the edge of the city rather than in the thick of the urban area. Particularly convenient for a visit to Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens. The location on the edge of an historic battlefield lends a surprising degree of peace and privacy to a property located so close to the interstate. I expect that much/most of their business revolves around conferences and events but we found it quite pleasant for a simple overnight stay.

Definitely a place to visit
The grounds were amazing! We were greeter by the staff and swiftly checked in. Parking was easy and plentiful. Our room and bed was very comfortable, clean and updated. We ate at the Tavern and were surprised by the friendly service and a decent meal.
