Commendably there are efforts to reverse this trend seen in the surrounding area including this homes remodel. However, the atmosphere is threatening. We were awoken at 3AM by high powered weapons discharge very close by. The neighborhood is mostly run down, and a trash pile was heaped up in the rear of the properties across from us. We did not feel safe or comfortable in such surroundings. The homes interior was pleasing, with the beds being comfortable affording a quality sleep. The bathrooms were clean and accommodating. The lack of closet space in the master bedroom was difficult to work around. The host was very communicative, helpful, and pleasant to work with. They obviously have put in a lot of time, money and effort in trying to make this home a vacation retreat. We thank them for their hospitality. ##### Gerald F.
