Very friendly staff, and close to lots of restaurants and shopping. Hotel itself is dated. The office chair in my room was pretty rough looking. Bottom of front door was frayed, and the bathroom is pretty humdrum. Overall good stay, and got what I paid for. No complaints =)

Miss D at breakfast was lovely, charming, friendly and helpful. Ditto with the manager (an Asian guy - didn't get name). And your engineer - fixing next door room -- was excellent. These people care about quality. I also like how you all deal with having dogs, which we had. EXCELLENT procedure: confine to one floor and power clean the room upon pet's departure. The dog-owning guests I spoke to noticed this friendly attitude. What's wrong? I would say the the finishing of the bathrooms was off kilter. Like the toilet paper holder wasn't level, the shower pipe wall hole was too big for the flange...crappy dry-walling.

Nice staff, room, bed. Sink wouldn't drain in first room. A/c gurled constantly in second room. Useless computers for doing boarding passes. Breakfast food could have been hotter.

I like the friendly atmosphere and staff. The fitness center is wonderful! The second elevator needs to be fixed. The breakfast options are adequate. The hardest issue is the aroma of marijuana in the hallway in the mornings and evenings that seeps into my room. I get an upset stomach from the concentrated smell.

We booked a room with two beds and when we got there, they transferred it to someone else and there were five of us. The room and conditions were very bad. When we read some reviews, we had the same experience. Just said sorry 🥹☺️

The property was decent, but the rooms are a bit neglected, on the 2nd and 5th floor at least. We have stayed twice in the past month. The daytime staff were very pleseant and friendly, however the nighttime staff were not as hospitable. Multiple issues were observed with the cosmetics of the room. Many cosmetic repairs need to be made to the room to stay relavent with other hotel chains in the area. Our bed linens were adequate, and the matress was good, but the pillows were not. A couple of "pillows" were sort of alright, but another 2 felt like they were a couple of blankets folded and put into a pillow case. Very uncomfortable to say the least. It was the equivalent feeling of using my backpack and bedroll during my military career in the field. I'd give this hotel stay a 2 star.

We were there two nights. The room and hotel were nice. A very strong smell of weed everywhere. We had our dogs and the fee was reasonable. And we got a room on the end by the stairs which was great. We would stay again

The bathroom needed an update, the toilet was wobbly when seated, the drains didn’t work causing water to fill the sink and tub. Lastly, the handle for the shower came off when adjusting the water temperature.

We went and checked in and then later realized, the cleaning ladies didn’t fully do and cleaning within the whole room. The soap that’s usually packed in a box for you to take out and wash your hands was already opened and not replaced. The next issue was that the bed covers were not replaced, I later realized this when I unfolded the covers and seen a long brown stain that wasn’t changed until 4 HOURS LATER after I asked the front desk the next morning. The first experience was perfectly fine but this time was probably my last time!

Disappointing stay in a room with many needs
I've stayed at other La Quita's and been impressed by their cleanliness, quality and service. Unfortunately, that was not the case at La Quita Inn & Suites at Richmond-Midlothian. The elevator was dirty, and their were many deferred maintenance items obvious in the elevator and common areas. In the room, the light above the sink worked at night but not the next morning, nor did the outlets at the sink work. the shower faucet handle was about to fall off and it was almost impossible to regulate the water temperature. Unfortunately, we were already well settled into the room before we realized the room issues. We shared these concerns when checking out and the manager said, "Oh, we don't usually put paying customers in that room because of all the problems." The hotel was far from full, so that didn't seem like a good reason. She went on to explain that the sink light and outlet don't work when the buildings outside lights are turned off. --Again, someone should have foreseen this. She apologized for us being assigned the room but offered no discount on that or future stay. Very disappointing. Oh, and the coffee maker was setting in a place where it not only was unplugged, but could not reach a plug. Not a big thing in itself, but taken together it was a very disappointing stay.
