Townplace suites was a nice motel. However I learned an important lesson from this overall experience. I will never use Expedia again nor would I recommend anyone else use their service.

We love the location of this hotel. It’s across the street from many nice restaurants that face the river. The hotel rooms are large and very clean.

Hotels.com messed up our booking but the hotel made it right. The king bed was a little firm. Other than that it was great.

The room was disappointing! The air condition unit made horrible noise, and the traffic noise was horrific! They offered free internet streaming in the TV, however the internet speed was so incredibly slow it was a joke!

Loved Julia that checked us in! She was so friendly and super understanding of us having little kids. She went out of her way to give us crayons and other little goodies to make us feel welcome, and was very kind even when our neighbors werent appreciative of our kiddos being loud. The area was super close to a great park right along the river with great views and a walking path. Also great dining (Anthony's & Lu Lu's) within walking distance and a grocery store and Starbucks just down the street. We were really pleased witn this spot overall.

Very clean
I was pleased with my stay for the most part it was quite and clean but when asked about the handicap chairs to get in the pool the girl didn't know how to use it so I didn't get to play in pool or sit in hot tub which was one main reason was staying there and we went down to have breakfast the next morning and it was over they told me the weekend hrs so that was irritating to say the least and I asked for a handicap room and the room was not a handicap room and it was on the 4th floor thank God that they had just got the elevator working again!!!!!

The hotel was great. W e had a one bedroom suite that was very nice. My son thought the pull out bed was very uncomfortable. Also, the breakfast choices were redundant and had little variety, but overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Not much the entire hotel is just plain dirty. Our bathroom was covered in someone else's hair.The service is terrible. The breakfast was cereal, boiled eggs or yogurt. No silverware and the coffee was weak and cold. We will not stay there again.

Bed is so hard… might was well sleep on the floor
Our only complaint and it’s one that will keep us from stay there again is the bed! We sleep on a firm bed but this bed was crazy hard. We travel and stay in the TriCites at least 4-6 times a year and were excited to add this hotel to our list. Unfortunately not until they change out mattresses

The staff wasn't professional. Me and my family traveled 3.5 hours from Seattle to this hotel just to be put on a non over looking the lake view which we reserved and paid in 3 to 4 weeks in advanced. Should have printed in the website that the lake view was non guranteed so people will be aware. Talk to Asst Manager, still no progress. Will never coming back nor will recommend to my friend, families, and co worker here in Seattle. No thanks..

I liked the suite... retro 70's. Comfort was ok. Our room had the freeway on 2 sides so a bit noisy and the bed was firm... I prefer softer. But the AC worked and there was no smoke in the room which was very impotant in 107 degree days and poor air conditions outside. We were close to LuLu our favorite restaurant and the dinner cruise we came to Richland to go out on and that was what was important to us.

Thinking a big hotel should not advertise that they serve breakfast then not be prepared when a trip to Costco goes bad and have nothing to feed the people who spent almost 200$ to stay there hoping for breakfast…. Should be more prepared but lovely other than that very clean not far from the river swimming area quiet area and nice for family’s with small children.

While the room itself was very nice we had several other issues that made us unlikely to stay here again. Our room was missing hand towels, which we requested along with extra coffee and shampoo. After telling us they would bring it shortly, we waited about 2 hours before asking again. Another hour later they finally brought large towels and shampoo but we never received coffee or hand towels despite asking two times. We also found the breakfast selection was severely lacking, especially considering the price point of the hotel. Nothing besides green bananas, boiled eggs, yogurt, and granola bars. As someone who doesn't eat dairy, I had basically no selection. Finally, we did enjoy the pool and hot tub. However the bottom of the hot tub was incredibly rough- more so than the usual texture of a pool or hot tub, which actually ruined my brand new swim suite bottoms. All and all, not a great experience.
